this is something that i've always been kinda curious about. i never really thought of myself as a 'twink' until maybe recently. but even when i'm at a club or something and some dude refers to me as a 'twink' i'm still kinda like 'what?' i kinda view twinks as....prudish and innocent in a way. like when you have sex with them you have to be extremely delicate. and i'm not really prudish and i enjoy EXTREMELY rough and kinky sex. which is probably why i'm attracted to guys that are bigger. to the guys that are attracted to the twinkish type of guys......what is it that turns you on about them?

I love the shape of the male body and to me it is perfected in a smaller tighter package.

But then again it is kinda like askin someone why they like guys or girls. What makes your stomach flutter isnt really conscience.

BTW I am married but your avatar makes my tummy flutter, all that smooth, tight skin unmarred by hair and age and................oops sorry :)

yeah i seem to be pretty popular with the married men for some reason.

I don't go out of my way to look a certain way or fit a mould. I have always been a fairly small-framed guy and I'm fine with guys finding it (un)attractive. Call it whatever you have to to get the ball rolling ;)

They don't turn me on. They look too young.
I would say that is it right there.
"Twinks" embody youth. Slender bodies, little to no hair, fair features.
In a culture (not just "gay culture") that is obsessed with youth, how could such an icon go unnoticed and unidolized?

I'm not saying its right, I'm just trying to answer the question.

Masculinity and youth are matters of subjectivity. I think the guys Piggy posted don't look much older than twenty.

'Twink' is not defined by body shape or type.

In their days doing gay porn, both of these guys - blond Brian Hawkes (left) and Jon King (right) - more or less set the standard for 'twink'. You certainly can't describe them as 'skinny and delicate'.

For me, my attraction to twinks is about contrasts. I'm mixed race and large in build, and I like guys who are (mainly, but not only) white and smaller in build.
Also, I find the idea very hot that I could "overpower" a guy with my size and strength, or totally submit to him and let him fuck me however he wants, all the while knowing that I could push him off any time I chose - which of course I wouldn't....would I...?

That last part is quite contradictory, but like I said, for me, it's all about contrasts.

But like a previous poster said, this is all only about the physical (and maybe initial) attraction - if love and feelings are involved, then this obviously introduces additional factors ..|

What I want to know is if you are truly "whining" about this, or if you're just looking for compliments.

:=D:[-Xwow I'm not the only one that noticed.lol but to be honest I am more attracted to smaller framed guys. I give you my husband as an example, he makes my tummy flutter. I think most bigger guys like smaller guys, don't ask me why they do? All i can tell you is that the reason I like them is because I can turn their hip bones into dust when I'm f***ing them lol here are a couple of pics of me and Abe

I don't like the word twink, so I'm not turned on by "twinks having sex." The word makes it sound very pedophilish to me. I hear twink and I hear "little boy" no thank you.

That's my reaction to shaved guys, only worse... twinks at least have some hair.

And it's doubly bad when someone is called a "twinkie." I just wanna hurl.

Twinkie: something really sweet but full of so many preservatives it's practically embalmed. :p

I enjoy all of the physical characteristics that shout MAN. Not boy.

If I look at a guy and can't tell with a look that he shaves, all my instincts say, "Not ripe yet!' I react a lot like with, say, corn -- I love the stuff off the stalk, fresh, but who would want to eat the tassles before there are even kernels?

Who came up with the word twink? I think it's a little condescending.

"Twinkle, twinkle, little star"?
Male version of "Tinkerbell"?

I'm attracted to guys a little past the twink stage, I think 'cause having finally accepted I'm sexual, I'm attracted to the age when I was most attractive, and had the build and energy to have really enjoyed life.

I would be more concerned that at 5'11" and 115lb (or so your profile says), your BMI would near 15, which is not a good thing. That transcends being merely thin.

i never tried to find out what my BMI was. truth be told i never weigh myself because my weight doesn't change, fluctuate, etc. but yeah alot of people automatically assume that i'm anorexic or something(which sounds like where you were going), but it's 100% natural.

lol i don't need compliments from complete strangers to feel better about myself. i don't even know where you would get that idea.....whatever....believe what you want...
