what's the best sitcom ever?

I find it interesting that no one here has mentioned The Cosby Show since so many people have raved about it. But I am NOT saying it should be, because I personally cannot stand that show.
 
1. Boy Meets World (favorite family sitcom ever)
2. Home Improvement (close second)
3. Yes Dear
4. Mamas Family
5. Fresh Prince (who doesnt know the Carlton dance)

I can watch any of these over and over and never get bored
 
The Simpson's is the most brilliant comedy I've ever seen. Genius!
Also love The Golden Girls.

I loved The Cosby Show and frequently watch the re-runs, but it's always been more of a "smile of recognition" show for me rather than laugh-out-loud funny. It was a more heartwarming show than most other sitcoms. (Though on occasion it could be hilarious.)

The only episode I remember laughing out loud for, was the one where Cliff is talking to Theo about life and he says I am your father, I brought you into this world and I can take you out.
 
Sooooo many to choose from but to narrow it down to one I would have to say without a doubt my choice is FRIENDS!!

Watched it on Public Broadcasting here, but didn't find it very funny. I liked the wife (Anna Crosby?) better than the husband. Bill Cosby tried an American version, but it didn't work. They wound up softening his character and going back to his old "Cosby" tricks like playing off a bunch of children.
 
My hands-down favorite is Red Dwarf. No other sitcom has ever made me literally pee my pants. Second place would go to South Park.

Not a sitcom, I think.
