From the Library of Broadcasting Journalism

Your Show of Shows (1950-1954)

Your Show of Shows aired on NBC, Saturday 9-10:30pm. The program starred Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca, Carl Reiner, and Howard Morris, and was produced by Max Liebman. The show's writers included, among others, Mel Brooks, Neil Simon, Woody Allen, Lucille Kallen, Mel Tolkin and Larry Gelbart. Each of these scripts includes running times and a prop list; many have been edited by hand. The Library also contains scripts for the Admiral Broadway Revue.

I don't think any sitcom has ever or will ever come close to beating 'I Love Lucy'."gsdx quotes"

Six Feet Under (it was billed as a comedy, and it is my favorite show of ALL time)

the best show ever.
i cried when nate died. i so cried.

but not a sitcom.

Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman

just kidding
Fernwood 2Night and Soap ... Norman Lear (the creator) was clearly ahead of his time. At the time these incredibly funny shows contained controversial subject matter and were only allowed to air after 11:00PM. Cable television did not exist.

Thank you, ;)
So I'm going to write many, many more.
But you see, It's very difficult to me to express everything I want to say in this language !oops!, so sometimes I'm not able to wite more than a few words to something #-o

You are doing just fine. Write as many or as few as you wish and don't feel embarrassed if they're not perfect. It's 'understanding' them that is important.

"Lucky Louie" with Louis CK and Jim Norton is the absolute funniest sitcom I've ever seen. It's too bad HBO canned it after one season. If you get a chance check it out. Oh also Pam Adlon that plays the voice of Bobby Hill from "King of the Hill" plays as the mother.

I'd say:

Malcolm in the Middle - hands down best show ever
Friends - honestly it's probably not the best, but I actually liked it
I love Lucy - very good, and entertaining without too much special effects

135 posts and only 4 people have acknowledged Arrested Development?!

I know it didn't have the highest viewership, but I really think I've lost some respect for this forum.

Arrested Development isn't that funny, entertaining, but not exactly great or funny

I really enjoy watching dead like me

so i'm morbid...
