So, just wondering. How many gay people have you been around at one time? What was the place or the event that brought everyone together?

Just for those who might wonder, I'm not thinking about the random gay people who you probably bump into every day without realising it, I'm talking about a specific gay [STRIKE]horde[/STRIKE]. [STRIKE]Gaggle of gays[/STRIKE]? [STRIKE]Flock of gays[/STRIKE]? Herd of gays....Oh, you know what i mean..

I'd like to say "Gay Pride" but who can really confirm how many people at pride are actually gay? There are families there, supporters, straights, and bi's.

I'd say probably about 60-80 confirmed gays at a social party I went to a while back.

San Francisco Gay Rights March in 1984 (don't think it was called Pride in those days), 3 Sydney Mardi Gras Parties in the 90s, several Brighton Prides, a Cher concert at Wembley, all in the 10s of thousands I would think.

And surely the collective noun should be a pride of gays!

There was easily over 100,000 at Preston Park in Brighton last August, on Gay Pride weekend.

Never seen a crowd like that in my life.
