Well there is the gay pride parades in Montreal, but also I would say any given Friday or Saturday night there would have to be close to 10 000 in the gay village.

I've been to a Duran Duran concert and a Culture Club concert in the 80's at Madison Square Garden so probably over 10k, but I put less as my answer.

I went to my friends house and her hairdresser was there, does that count? (as ONE)

and I know there are 3 at work.

and the gal that bathes my dog has really short hair and a girlfirend.

oh yeah, and then there are those 2 customers that come into the store TOGETHER ... plus a couple other single ones with little white fluffy dogs.

so my record is probably like 2 at a time. maybe....

Well, let's see:

Thousands at Capital Pride every year.

Hundreds of thousands at Toronto Pride (when I go), maybe more.

Maybe 100,000 at the opening of the 2006 World Outgames.

On a daily basis, though, only a dozen or so. On our club's monthly bar night - 200 or so.

1 in my whole life. He was a strange little fur ball of a guy.

He was in the closet at the time though...does that even count.?

So...0? :/

200 to 2000

I voted that way because I think the largest club I've ever been to, held well more than 200.

I voted too soon, though, because I initially forgot that I was at the Tucson Desert pride event in 2009. It's possible, though, that there weren't more than 2000 people at the time of day I was there, and my vote may still be accurate...

Oh, wait. I've been at baseball games in crowded stadiums. When there's 46,000 people or something like that, it's almost guaranteed that more than 2,000 are gay.

200,000-500,000

March on Washington 1993..

A few NYC Pride marches..

I've also tended bar at a couple of gay bars.I been round lots and lots of gays..

Nowadays though, not so much..The pride event in this town I now live in drew about 200 people. Most of them obese drag queens or little adoloescent twinks that weighed about 75 pounds..Not much of a grey area..

No more than 2, ever, and im not even sure about that much--school assignment. Between JUB and.....JUB, i really have no "gay" life outside of here.

Closing ceremonies at Gay Games in New York, 1994, filled Yankee Stadium.

I'm already planning for the next Games....in 2014. In Cleveland.

Thank you all for responding! This is fascinating. I'm impressed at how many people have been in a giant crowd of homos. It's fascinating to imagine what the world would be like if gay:straight was 90:10 instead of the other way around, and some of these big gay events are probably the closest we'll get to that scenario.

Yikes, this is an old thread! I must confess, I never made it to Cleveland in 2014. (I've been there often since.)

I've been with 71 guys ...in my whole life...
At one time? TThe title asks how many at one time.

I have been to pride parades in three different minor cities, but only saw a few dozen or hundreds. As it was only a parade, it didn't feel like many gays particularly, more of a political rally. It was almost impossible to distinguish how much of the crowd was just counterculture or licentious vs. pro-dignity for gay men.
