  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What's the most horrifying thing you eat on a regular basis?

horrifying? nothing unless you are a dietitian or a cardiologist...

4-5 whole eggs
500ml-1000ml whole or lite milk
lots of fat (mostly omega 3/6/monounsaturated)
*omega 3 etc from mercury tested fishoil 5000-6000mg per day
*monounsaturated mostly from olive oil/avocados
lots of dairy (cottage cheese mostly)

Blood screens come back fairly healthy though. Fishoil is probably helping reduce the cholesterol I am eating from all those eggs.

edit:

Ashy, what fried cheese are you eating by the way? like regular cheddar fried or cheese that is usually fried like halloumi (sp?)

On a regular basis?!

Yep at least once a week with neep`s and tatties .

Scottish Soul Food ..............

Ass, dick and pussy. :(

Microwave popcorn with a tall glass of Tropicana orange juice mixed with Fruit punch.

According to "health" food fanatics..........EVERYTHING....... (!)

Ewww....

Anyway, i love braunschweiger, i'm sure most people find that horrifying, and those green olives with garlic cloves in them:drool:

That actually sounds really good. lol

I don't really eat anything that is horrifying. I used to eat cans of pickled Jalapenos??? I don't know if that is horrifying though.

For me, it'd be fried cheese (and yes, that's exactly what it sounds like).

What about you?

Is this similar to what you mean? Being of Greek extraction it's the first thing to pop in my mind...but Chrisw87 makes a good point about Cypriot halloumi being prepared sort of the same way.

God I WISH it was easy to find cheese curds in Chicago...
There are plenty of Culver's in the suburbs...they have fried cheese curds standard on the menu as a sub. to fries. There may be fresh cheese curds at the Treasure Island Grocery Chain...though I'm surprised you can't find any at Jewel-Osco? (esp. considering they're now owned by Supervalu)

Man, what I wouldn't give to try some genuine quebecois poutine! Made by a smoldering hot Mountie named Rene, Jean-Louis or Laurent!
