I noticed that the real avatars were still showing on homepages after I read the note about scrolling over the avatar - I suspected it was just an overriding filter pic for the holiday.

I have Avatars and Pics normally turned off, so I can read and post in more public places - some aren't exactly PG or PG13 - that's not a criticism. But, since I read and post on lunch at a local restaurant, and in my living room with kids around, Discretion, as they say, is the better part of valour.

Made for a fun night. I'm sorry if it offended some who don't celebrate the day. We've been closed up with the flu all week, didn't have many callers to night, so this was like being invited to a local party come as you are!

When I first saw it on a post - I thought it was just SPAM. Then I realised it was across the board.

What surprised me was the Aussies, who always claim to be so laid back, also seem to have no sense of humor (or humour, if you will.)

TriBi summed up our feelings about it very nicely. Halloween is an American thing and I don't care to be associated with it, thank you very much.

I wonder what the reaction would be if TriBi decided to give every Jubber an Edna Everage avatar for 24 hours on Australia Day. :eek:

Halloween is not just an American thing, and the individual apparently responsible is not located here. He didn't change everyone's avatars to an American flag on July 4th.

Seeing as how many aussies we have on these boards, I think having some kind of special treat for their day would be great. As pointed out above, it would be cool to see more of these kinds of things that represent all the various backgrounds/origins of Jubbers across the world.

As for the characters who are all up in arms because their individuality was taken away--trust me, you did a fine job of asserting it and reminding everyone of who you are by your comments here.
