What's with the porn avatars?

There's a porn side to this site, and a forum side.
Most of us in the forums aren't here for the porn. In forums, an avatar is meant to express who you are, in some fashion.

So what's with the porn avatars? Are people trying to say, "Look, I'm a total dick?" "See me, just another asshole?"

We're not supposed to post porn in the forums, and everyone is supposed to know that. Why, then, do some get around that by putting porn in their avatars? Is it defiance, just rudeness, or what?

I'm not complaining about the porn in this site -- I'm saying that if you want to post porn, go to the porn part of the board. I'm also pointing out that we have a double standard: porn pics in a post aren't allowed, but porn pics in avatars and sigs are.

I sincerely am NOT trying to make you feel bad about being in the forums, but this is primarily a "porn site" and if you are offended about gay porn any where on this whole site, I recommend you go else where......

meh , kind of a redundant arguement considering the amount of porn around this place like the adds above the forum. Dosent really bother me at all , avatars are for expressing a part of you , your likes and your personality , and i wont persecute those who are comfortable enough with thier sexuality to post porn pictures in avatars.

I believe in and respect everyone's rights....if porn avatars are allowed,I see nothing wrong with it(though having porn avatars but yet restricting porn images to certain sections seem quite inconsistent to me.)

If you support gun rights like Kul,while I don't always agree on the gun issues I respect the Second Amendment as well,and believe gun ownership and the responsible usage of guns for self-defense,hunting and sport is totally defensible and legitimate and I strongly support it..though on some issues I think there has to be more flexibility and sensibility than the absolutist position many pro-gun advocates take.
