  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What's wrong with this picture?

I noticed that the man's shadow, the dog's shadow and the gate shadow are all in different directions, that the wind is blowing the chimney smoke one way and the trees the other way. It struck me as odd that no one was managing the horse and that the gate shadow was wavy. I totally missed that the house door was missing and that the curtains were on the outside and one branch had pine needles.

it promotes slavery, the dude working his ass off under the hot ass sun in the background is black

Perspective isn't exactly realistic, but still, it's a hill and the water in the background should not mound like land does.

The horse doesn't wear any harness. There seems to be a saddle of some sort, but that's not nearly enough.

The shadow of the fence is wavy and not straight
The trees in foregroung and background represent different seasons
The house doesn't have a door close to the stairs (a supposed entrance)

The bushes at the front of the stone fence appear to be growing in the air

The wind flow for the chimney smoke and the trees are two different directions.

The trees could have been permanently bent by gales, and the wind could be just happening to blow in the opposite sense at that moment; because you could not infer any wind blowing from the way those green tops have been drawn, any more than from the barren ones to the right and in the background, which can belong to a different species.

Pointing the steps without any door is even sillier: they could be there just for sitting or whatever, or simply having been left there for the same purpose, after having bricked up that backyard door: yes, that doesn't look like a front door, with that corral gate there

Don't even speak of sea or anything: kids are cleverer than that when they draw... if their waves do not look like waves, the rest of the drawing doesn't look like whatever anything else either.

The shadows and the plowing horse are the only thing that really look "wrong"-.

Aside from what other's mentioned - Why is there no man leading the horse plow?

And where is the barn and why does the building have an addition with hay?

Right, now you are going to say the cottage is too small for the old fart, and where is the toilet...

Of course the cottage is too small for the 'old fart', that, and the 'missing' door tells us that it is a dwarf's house. Anyone who has kept up with the Lord of the Rings movies knows that dwarf doors are invisible when closed.
