What's Your Favorite Musical?

In no particular order.

La Cage Aux Folles
Funny Girl
Meet Me In Saint Lewis
The Harvey Girls
Victor, Victoria
The Rose
The Sound of Music

Carousel is the finest musical I've ever seen.

#2 is Ragtime. #3 is Gypsy or Pippin.

^ I loved Ragtime. I've only seen the movie, but it was a long time ago. I've been wanting to watch it again...thanks for the reminder!

Last night I saw "Gypsy." I put this on my list as one of my favorites and it is obvious! So many great songs in this musical! Also, how could you not like Mama Rose.

Re: Whats your favorite musical?

as a kid: The Sound of Music

as an adult: Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Re: Whats your favorite musical?

It was Wicked for a time but then went to see Book of Mormon last year. It blew me away, was so funny and on point.
I regularly listen to the soundtrack (Spooky Mormon Hell Dream in particular)

Just came back from NYC and saw the revival of "She Loves Me" and I also saw "On Your Feet."

Both great musicals!

Have you seen "Grease: Live!", "Hairspray Live!" and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again"?

The Wiz. I liked the NBC production a few years back too.

Rent is one of my favorites.

I also recently saw a National Touring Production of The Phantom of the Opera, which was really great!

The Sound of Music

Avenue Q

School of Rock is really great! I saw a National Touring Production and the Kid actors who played their own instruments were incredible.

La Cage aux Folles is one of my favorites as well! Jerry Herman's musical score is just great!

West Side Story is also one of my favorites!

Funny Girl is also a great show and musical score!

The Lion King, was very good also!

Next week I am seeing the National Touring Production of "Anastasia." I also bought tickets for the National touring production of "A Bronx Tale," which is coming here in June.

My least favorite was "Wicked." Did not enjoy the music nor the show. It was a National Touring Production and people walked out on the performance too! A co-worker told me she saw it too and did not like it either!

There are also many more musicals that I have seen and enjoyed! Too far many to list here!
