  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What's your most femmy attribute?

I can't think of anything. I attribute this to growing up in a close nit household with 5 brothers and no sisters. I wasn't exposed to anything feminine growing up. I spend all fall weekends watching football. I love working on my Land Cruiser truck. I love to go camping and I detest shopping and anything to do with fashion. I couldn't watch 5 min. of Rupall and since he makes up 80% of Logos programming I quit watching that channel.

I am not trying to act all macho or anything but as a guy in his late 50's I think I have a pretty good idea of who I am and why.

Oh, and by the way, that is just me. If I liked someone who had feminine qualities I wouldn't care. As some have mentioned, if it is included, I do like dick, so I guess I have one.

And while I don't wear make-up (eyeliner, lipstick, etc), I like to use creams on my face (moisturizer, lotion, chapstick).

Likewise.

And I have a shelf full of high-end colognes, literally 20 or so. Some lighter ones for daily use, some much more sophisticated for more refined occasions, and representing all the major classes (spicy, woody, citrus, marine) that there are.

I've been told deaf and blind people in New Jersey who've never met me can tell I'm gay without me having to open my mouth (I love my friends, I really do) so I'll say my aura

Geez, Louise, you ramble on like a girl. #:>

I love show tunes and I know the names of a lot of flowers.

Everything (according to (most) straight women ... 'I knew you were gay the moment I met you').

Nothing (according to (many) straight men ... 'Gay .. ha ha ha ... no really?').

I speak English like I'm trying to sound edumacated. For a certain sector of sporting aficionados, that counts as "femmy."

My speech is "too refined," I sing (showtunes and opera), like to cook and bake —those might all be viewed that way. However, the most femmy thing about me is that I almost always have painted toenails, often with nail art. Despite all this, people have sometimes been surprised to learn that I'm gay.

I guess the way I talk? When I get excited and argue over something sometimes I get a little... campy. And I use chapsticks? not sure if that is considered femmy, since some straight guys use it as well.

Oh, and I sit with my legs crossed most of the time.

It's probably the fact that I'm into interior design. Other than that, I don't really have any stereotypes.

A mentally challenged guy told me recently I was "like a girl". I asked why and he told me because I had curly hair. He suggested I buzz it off. Then he added that I had yellow hair and long eyelashes like a girl. If you call me a chick, I will kick your ass. How's that for femmy?

Obsessed with Barbra Streisand, turned my father's man-cave into a victorian parlor, love gardening, love little dogs (if they have bows in their hair it's a bonus)..

Depends how you hold it - overhand or underhand.

Either way, if you use a mirror, you're done for. :)
