What's Your Weather Like?

Red_Alert.gif

Constant torrid nights over 25ºC-77ºF.

Which means over the day we reach at least 35ºC-95ºF... thankfully with humidity under 40%, which yesterday made it all relatively comfortable for sultry BCN.

40ºC/104ºF, absolute record in over a century of registers in the Fabra observatory in BCN. That is not normal at all even in the mountain area in BCN city, which is anyway just a couple of miles away from the milder seashores.
Again, I am thankful it is rather dry, around 30%, and I barely got hot during my brief walks between bus, subway, working desk, libraries, home...
The sky was not as clear... which is normal in "dog weeks"...

It was supposed to rain. I had my galoshes all ready.

Get off my lawn!

It's been hot, but this weekend it'll be down to around 115 so it won't be too unbearable. May hit the bars on the river, maybe stay inside in the AC....ParkerStripAZ

Kreuz, Donnerwetter noch mal this evening... but rather inland than on the coast.

Right now just as was usual in July, plus the last remains of the recent heatwave...

That last one is not BCN, but just there for symmetry's sake, and because it reflects the same weather in Catalonia and Spain...

Getting fuglier by the second, as if Our Lord were about to expire..: you wouldn't want these menacing dark skies and gales in the Olympics right now.

Waiting for some storms to cool it down a bit.

Tuesday evening we had a bad storm and some tornadoes which caused a lot of damage. The tornadoes were just a couple of miles north of our house, but did hit the edge of my suburb and some neighboring suburbs. There were a lot of trees and wires knocked down and a lot of people were without power. The grocery stores we go to lost power and they are still without power and all of the meat and dairy coolers are empty, but if you travel two miles away you can buy whatever. There are some 12 story buildings with old people living in them that still don't have power and can't use their elevators and they say that it will be until next Wednesday before everything is restored. There are more than 100,000 people still without electricity. This is crazy that it is taking them 8 days to restore the power and expect people to not be able to use their refrigerators, air conditioners, and elevators.

Torrid nights (above 77ºF) alert: temperatures expected to rise well over 80ºF.

Chicago, Illinois, USA. It's perfect

Forecast high today 80° F, low 61° F. 1% chance of precipitation.
