It's been hot and sticky today. Now (just after 9pm) it's clouding over and I think we might have some overnight rain, much needed by the gardens.
Another hot day 91. I will be replacing the furnace this summer, will look to add central air depending on the cost, I have forced hot air, so the ducts are in place. The heat doesn't bother me, but my 2 sisters have a hard time with it.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said Saturday she plans to introduce a bill aimed at tackling “weather modification.”
“I am introducing a bill that prohibits the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals or substances into the atmosphere for the express purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity. It will be a felony offense,” she wrote in a Saturday post on X.
“I have been researching weather modification and working with the legislative counsel for months writing this bill,” Greene added.
The Georgia lawmaker said the legislation would resemble Florida’s Senate Bill 56, which was signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in late June.
The text makes it illegal for individuals to practice geoengineering and weather modification by imposing a $100,000 fine and a five-year prison sentence.
Let's just say this is all legit. Who do they think is controlling the weather? Democrats. Right. Nevermind that the entirety of the US gov't is under republican control. The democrats couldn't even manage to successfully open an umbrella, let alone modify the weather.

It's been unbearably hot for some time but right now it's rather mild and agreeable.

I'm not sure what they're talking about. The last thing that happened in Florida that could be considered "weather modification" was when they were cloud seeding in the Spring of 1971, during a severe drought. It seems they claimed success when 5 inches of rain fell at the Miami airport one day.
This is probably a nod to the conspiracy theorists out there spreading that chem trails bullshit, or maybe they've expanded way beyond that by now. Of course that doesn't mean what they're addressing is real. They could outlaw the world of Alice in Wonderland, and that wouldn't make it any more real.
