At a bookstore or library or online in the American politics section where people who aren't smug,self righteous,better than all the ignoramuses in Dumbfuckistan America have the right to not look upon its presence or read and try to even in disagreement go beyond the political caricature...don't have to agree or lose your political/principles by doing that.I'm not disappointed by the reactions here on the left,fucking expected that.But I am so glad I don't think of myself as a progressive,who essentially don't celebrate real respect for diversity but rainbow conformity.And no,I don't have to agree with everything spouted on Fox News,which I don't,to believe this.I'm a Blue Dog Democrat,and I'm not surrendering my party to the wingnuts on the left like you.

It's a classic, in fact my favorite one of Dante's hell by William Bouguereau circa 1850. It's been remastered by a number of artists over the years, but this was the original.

I do love the male form. Art. And the male form, in art. My art collecting is pretty specific. I prefer ad posters circa 1865 to 1915 and paintings by masters from 1800 to 1965.

Does JUB have an art section glorifying the male form? If not, perhaps we should start one - no time restrictions though.

Remember, the Michaelangelo fresco in the Sistine Chapel in back of the altar told of the Last Judgement. One of the popes was either really distracted (or aroused) that he ordered all the "nether regions" to be painted over. During the restoration, the "cloaks" were removed and all the sinful parts could be seen once again.

I can't imagine any form of classical art to be pornographic.

Aw,thanks BearDaddy I wear that with a badge of honor....interesting representation posted by Molten Rock,but shows the hard left is just as unbalanced and unhinged in their tactics as the hard right.Where would Harru Truman belong then according to some on the hard left for okaying the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki?One can oppose policy without the demonization and total denigration....most conservatives aren't evil in themselves,nor are most liberals but I detest the actions of ideologues on both sides.

I'm really pissed. Went to my local bookstore and I was told that if I purchased Bush's book, crayons would not be included.
