Rome, from which we just returned two days ago. We were there for two weeks, long enough to settle in, but not long enough to wish to return to Los Angeles, or--actually--be anyplace else. The city is thoroughly wonderful at Christmastime. Very festive and filled with generous spirits. I received a text this morning from a new Roman friend asking how it felt to be back in the "città degli angeli" and I responded, "Vabbè", not the most enthusiastic response.
