You have no faith in the league leaders, do you AP? Chelsea and liverpool are already looking a little out of sorts in the table. Arsenal are six points ahead of chelsea, and ten from Liverpool. Man Utd getting ahead isn't exactly impossible, but Arsenal dropping out of the top three? Wouldn't make sense to me. Hell, liverpool aren't even in the top four right now.

But Arsenal were a shade fortunate to beat Spurs last Saturday, and they only drew 0-0 tonite at Portsmouth. ManUtd however keep on winning.

At the other end Derby are doomed. And the North East could lose two Premiership clubs in Sunderland and 'Boro, both well beaten today, tho' Fulham are in real trouble too.

we head to West Ham on the 29th, with Arsenal going to Everton.
neither easy games, but West Ham have had terrible recent form at home, and well Everton have only lost 1 in their last 15 in all competitions, and that was against Utd :D

Wengers been quoted as saying its not a big deal that they've lost top spot to us. liar lol he so knows it means alot.

What a day in the Premiership! This season is undoubtedly - as predicted early on in this thread - going to one of the most exciting ever.

ManUtd lose at West Ham. :eek: :D

Chelsea beat Newcastle with a goal that was patently off-side. ](*,)

Arsenal win 4-1 at Everton and go top of the table. :=D:

Sunderland and 'Boro both win. :confused:

And the game of the day is at WHL where Spurs beat Reading 6-4, with Berbatov scoring 4 - yes FOUR - goals. :=D::=D::=D:

I'm glad with the way the day went, football wise. Man Utd losing... well, I prefer Arsenal. Newcastle losing... AWESOME! ;) Arsenal winning to reclaim top spot is fine by me. Sunderland winning... Well, I actually don't mind Sunderland. It's odd, because I hate Newcastle, but I guess Sunderland doesn't often employ criminals. Maybe that's got something to do with it.

And thank all deities for Sanli Tuncay. He's fulfilling his potential at last! Scoring vital goals. Kickass. Against Arsenal, he was truly epic!

Liverpool fluffed it. Sven is doing a good job at Man City and is still talking of nicking it into 4th. I suppose a strategy of stifling the big 4 at Eastlands is valid.

Berbatov (or his agent) is now dreaming big (a club to match *his* ambitions), lol.

But I do think Allardyce needs a season. The players at Newcastle are as responsible for their position as the manager.

The 2nd half will be exciting with a pack playing for 4th. Let's hope results such as West Ham's keep the top 3 in reach.

The transfer window is now open until 31/01/08. Much rumour and speculation. But it's doubtful anything major will transpire. The top 4 don't need anyone major urgently. Anelka possibly going to Chelsea is hardly worth a line of newsprint.
And Berbatov will stay at Spurs until the end of the season.

Chelsea, ManU and Arsenal all won yesterday. Liverpool will surely win tinite v Wigan. So the top of the Premiership will remain as was.

4 of the 5 bottom clubs are in action tonite. It is down there in the Premiership that most of the transfers will take place.

This week-end is the FACup so no Premiership games.

The 2nd leg game at WHL should be a cracker.

Back to the Premiership this week-end. And you have to feel sorry for the long-suffering supporters of Newcastle, after Allardyce was given the boot. Nobody in their right mind would accept the poisoned chalice of managing this club.

But Steve McClaren is available!

Spurs have got an easy game v Chelski at Stamford Bridge...;)

Harry Rednapp is no fool, and the 6-0 humiliation Newcastle have just suffered at Old Trafford must have made him smile.

Boro' seem to have ended Liverpool's title hopes. Great result for Boro', and great to see an almost capacity crowd at the Riverside.

It's a three-horse race now for the Premiership title, unless Spurs...;)

Boro are doing well but inconsistently. It'll do good things for our confidence, though, so I'm quite pleased. We're still in the FA cup, we're getting safer, and we're both apparently digging around looking for expensive strikers. We're in for both Fred and Afonso Alves. They say we're selling Woodgate and Downing, though. We've got fairly good replacements, but it's digging into the depth of the side. :-/ We need more money, to be simple.

When's that big lump sum of TV cash coming through?!

Have just watched, on Setanta, one of the most woeful Premiership games ever. :cry: Newcastle had their biggest crowd of the season - 52,000+ - for their 0-0 match v Bolton.

I've gotta say, I wish I'd put some money on a few of the games tonight. I got one wrong - Boro drew instead of won, and that was apparently due to a lack of fortune by the Mighty Boro, who apparently pummelled their opponents.
