Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Middlesbrough, now at thirteenth, incidentally. I'm quite content with that, actually, although it's very tight down there. We've made it through a couple of tough games with a couple of hard-earned and well-deserved points, and maybe we can build onwards.

However, we need to do one thing - we need to capitalise on dominance. We need a proven prolific striker. We need to find someone who will put away the easy chances more often than not, because we hit the bar, missed a load, had a load cleared off the line... if any of those had gone in, we'd have won, and we'd be only three points behind Newcastle.

If we'd done the same against Liverpool, we'd have got another two and hence we'd be only one point behind Newcastle - a team with a regular crowd of more than 20k more than Boro.

And we'd be stretching away from the tightly contested bottom area; If we assume Fulham and Derby are going down, then we've got a good six teams that could all join them, with only two points between us and Sunderland.

The league currently has four groups - 13-20 is the bottom pack, all of whom are flirting with the zone. 10-12 is the mid table section, all of whom are looking safe and comfortable so long as there's no massive slump. 1-3 are all in with a shout for the title, and finally, 4-9 could all make 4th spot - it's as tight as 13-18, with an identical top-bottom difference of two points.

I don't think Boro are at risk of going down, but we need to progress upwards. I really want that Afonso Alves - he knows where the net is, and Dutch football can't be too different to British, I imagine.

I'm watching the highlights of Newcastle/Bolton, and Ameobi is filthy when he jumps for headers.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Spurs 5 Arsenal 1 = BLISS.:=D::=D::=D:

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

United 3 spurs 1 - to be expected.

chance for revenge at the weekend though.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

Boro are through after a fairly average performance against Mansfield. Lee Dong Gook has only scored against lower league opposition.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

Spurs have only themselves to blame for losing at OT in the FACup. They did not take their chances, and defensive errors were responsible for all 3 ManUtd goals.

ManUtd go to WHL this weekend, while Arsenal go to ManCity. If both London sides win - and they could - it will make the Premiership title race interesting...

The draw for the last 16 in the FACup:

A word to 'Boro's travelling supporters. Don't accept free balloons from ANYBODY in Sheffield! ;)

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

hope liv win against west ham tomorrow

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

The North East Premiership clubs continue to fascinate. Sunderland and 'Boro both won last nite.

But Newcastle were humiliated at Arsenal. And who are the Geordies at home to on Sunday? 'Boro. The game is on Sky. Should be a real cracker.

I'm looking forward to that. Especially if we finally have Alves...

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

The nation rejoices as ManUtd lose at OT to Man City. :=D::=D::=D:

Utd should have lost last week at Spurs.

Let's hope Arsenal can beat them next week in the FACup.

It's about time this arrogant club, it's "I've never been to Manchester" supporters, (whilst it rips off it's real fans), gets a lesson in humility.

And let's hope another real football club - Liverpool - can beat that other artificial load of wankers, Chelsea, later today.

Man Utd indeed lose, and that's quite nice. I'm supporting Arsenal for the title - for starters, I have no grudge since we've beaten them this season. Because of this, I don't dislike them, and would rather they win than Man Utd.

Boro play out a scrappy win, keep our unbeaten streak going to 7 games, and rise to 12th - not safe yet of course, but we're looking like we might just end up hitting the top half by the season's end. After that, sky's the limit!

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

And Arsenal beat Blackburn last nite to go 5 points clear.:D

Everyone wants Arsenal to win at ManUtd this weekend in the FACup.

There is not one REAL football fan in the UK who supports ManUtd.

Having said that, there are probably 1000' s of stupid idiots out there who support ManUtd one minute, and Chelsea the next.

Lambeth Palace, with it's incumbent idiot, is probably a prime example of such stupidity.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

Yay for 5 points clear!

Although, with the FA Cup game this weekend, the Man U league fixture following fairly soon and the small matter of AC Milan in between the two means that either Arsenal fans are going to be completely overjoyed or completely mind-fucked in the next few weeks.

As a great Spurs player - greaves - once said: "It's a funny old game". Arsenal winning at OT would make me so happy...

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership Thi

Breaking news: 39th game plan has been rejected by Fifa.

Imagine, then, how happy it would make me!

I have my arsenal shirt, hat and coffeemug all ready for the game tomorrow.

If there is a god, he/she is probably a ManUtd supporter.

I.E: has never been to Manchester, knows nothing about football, is not very intelligent, and loves very cute Portuguese twink divers.

Let us pray Arsenal win tomorrow.

A spurs fan wanting arsenal to win. I think that makes it pretty clear about what you know about football. Sad.

I don't support Man Utd. I've been to Manchester. I know plenty about football. I'm moderately intelligent.

However, I love very cute Portuguese twink divers. :-/

He's already pointed out the irony of the situation many a time. While he dislikes Arsenal, he dislikes Man Utd more, and for reasons that're better than just location.

Also, it's got nothing to do with his football knowledge. :-/ I'm not stupid on football matters just because I don't dislike Sunderland, for example.
