Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Leaving aside all the controversial points in yesterday's ManUtd v Chelsea game, the fact is Chelsea never looked liked scoring a goal.

Without Droghba and Lampard they looked inept up front.

Chelsea play Fulham next Saturday. A very local derby here in west London. The result will, of course, be important. What will be more important tho' is the size of the crowd.

Being a local derby you would expect a full house at SB - capacity 42,500 - fully behind Chelsea.

If the ground is not full to capacity, Abramovitch has problems.

He does anyway. He needs a qualified manager, or he's out of Europe.

Both Manchester sides were live on TV today, and City were much more impressive than United. SGE could be the best signing City have made in years. United were flashy but rubbish. If Birmingham had any decent strikers, they could have won easily.

Avram Grant boosted Chelsea's chances of remaining in the Premiership - I kid you not! - by taking a point against Fulham. He showed great confidence in the chairman's favourite, Shevchenko, by subbing him for Pizarro after 55 mins. The Chelsea side were jeered off the pitch at the end of the game by an almost capacity crowd.

Here's the greatest player Chelsea ever had after he moved to a bigger club, scoring against ManUtd:

What the fuck happened at Fratton Park?

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Well, that's pissed on my day.

First, Boateng - past it - missing a chance he should've scored, then Lescott pouncing after some seriously shitty goalkeeping, then a good bit of work from Mido and O'Neil ends when O'Neil has no idea how to hit an actual shot. Dong Gook Lee points out just how crappy a player he is by missing an absolute sitter, and finally Arteta makes our entire defence look like idiots, and Pienaar scores.

What annoys me is that apart from those two goals, Everton hardly contributed one fucking thing to that game. We were all over them, playing the ball well, getting into good positions... but we couldn't bloody score.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Can sympathise with you Jacobim.

Everton did exactly the same v Spurs at WHL not just this season, but also last season. It drives you mad!

Spurs have a HUGE game in a couple of hours v Villa. They are hoping to celebrate 125 years of history with a win to get them out of the bottom three...

holy shit, half time its 3-1 to villa, then they go 4-1, how in the hell did they get a 4-4 draw lol

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Damn, what happened there? That was a bit mad.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Certainly one of the games of the season so far.:=D::=D::=D:

Spurs next 2 Premiership games are away, at Liverpool and Newcastle. Tough for Martin Jol and Spurs.

As I said earlier in this thread, this could be one of the most exciting and entertaining Premiership seasons ever.:D

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Celtic 2-1 AC Milan. :D

IN YOUR FUCKING FACES, EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS! :gogirl: :p

Dida - twat. [-X Yeah, that fan made contact, but come on! :-({|= Knob.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

^ Yep, Dida's a git.

Celtic's Scott McDonald scored a late winner to make it 2-1 and the fan ran across Dida's path before striking him.

Dida appeared to chase the culprit as he ran away but then collapsed and was eventually taken away on a stretcher.

Celtic could now face the prospect of Uefa sanctions, which could include a heavy fine or a deduction of points.

Frankly, I think Milan should, too, for such shitty acting. It's a shame you can't get booked for a dive when it's a fan that commits the assault, really.

And frankly, faking collapsing disgusts me. Have they not been paying attention to the fact that spontaneous collapsing often means heart attack + death? Foé? Puerta? Not paying attention to that?

And I'm sick of teams getting deducted points. If you punish them, do it by... perhaps, removing their tickets, meaning that they can't have fans in? Or make threats to clean it up and get rid of it? Celtic didn't ask for this prick of a fan, and to be honest one of these days a fan is gonna dress in the opposite colours just to cause trouble and get the team banned.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

^Remember at World Cup 2002, Brazil vs China, when Rivaldo did something similar? If I recall, one of the Chinese kicked a ball out of play after Brazil had been awarded a free kick and hit Rivaldo on the leg with it and he collapsed clutching his face and throat.

When quizzed about faking the injury, he said something like he over-did it just to ensure the ref would see it and take action... another guy who lost many points in my book that day.

The fan was stupid, but I agree with what you're saying. If I were more of a bastard than I am already, I'd dress up in false colours and invade the pitch.

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

I thought it was against Turkey, but yeah - It's definitely something that needs to be stamped out. However, overplaying an injury is rife within the sport and I don't think the FAs have realised it's such a problem.

Off topic, but another thing I don't like is commentators. In Boro's game against Everton, an Everton player committed a foul, which the commentators agreed may have been a bookable offence, but they totally agreed with the referee when he booked one of our players for pointing out the fact. And no, it wasn't swearing - he was too far away from the ref at the time. He just held up his hand as if it simulate booking someone.

Their response was "I'm glad the referee is having none of that. He might have had a point, but that's the sort of thing we've got to stamp out."

What, so when the referee cocks up, players aren't even allowed to mention it? I can understand booking for swearing, for crowding the referee, for kicking the ball away, but booking someone for doing that? And then the commentators having the gall to say "We've got to stamp out that behaviour."

An everton player committed an offence, the boro player complained because he wasn't punished enough. Who is at fault most there?

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Celtic won't get punished, it's far too ridiculous a situation.

-At least I hope, but besides that, aren't Scotland having a great time in Europe at the moment??? :D

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Slapstick comedy at its best: "Dida Did A Diva."

A spokesperson from the St Bufon ;) Hospital said "Dida did a few face-saving exercises today, but he could feel the effects of this injury for a long time."

Re: Which Club Is Going To Win The Premiership This Season?

Hm, bit of glamour returning to Man Utd's season, perhaps? It's lacked the glitter that last year was so prevalent, and that's been a shame.
