Australia have won their last 28 games in the ICC CWC.

I think it's true to say that all the neutrals watching the final tomorrow - 28/04/07 - will be supporting Sri Lanka.

The toss will be crucial. Whoever wins it will surely put the opposition in to bat.

Let's hope it's a game worthy of the occasion...

AUSTRALIA WON

For the fourth time and third consecutive title, Australia won the ICC 2007 World Cup.

Gilchrist 149 from 104 balls.

But what a farce at the end - the final three overs played in almost total darkness. The ICC must reconsider venues for these tournaments in future - no ground lighting no game. What a farce - and for the grand final too.

Mike Atherton went to Manchester Grammar School just down the road. We regularly beat them at football. I scored a hat-trick against them way back when.

But we never won a cricket match against them.

They did, however, shower naked and provide the best cucumber sandwiches I've ever tasted.
