Which Country Will Win the ICC World Cricket Cup?

An awesome statistic:

Australia have won their last 28 games in the ICC CWC.:=D: :=D: :=D:

I think it's true to say that all the neutrals watching the final tomorrow - 28/04/07 - will be supporting Sri Lanka.

The toss will be crucial. Whoever wins it will surely put the opposition in to bat.

Let's hope it's a game worthy of the occasion.....|

There's rain about in Barbados but hopefully the coin toss and commencement of play isn't too far away.

GO THE MIGHTY AUSSIES!!

Reduced to 38 over match.

Surprised the Aussies decided to bat after winning the toss, but they are sure going for it. 135 for 0 after 19 overs.:=D::eek:

I'm a Leo - 29th July - so my heart is with SL...but...

A century to Gillie!!!! What an innings!!!

SL chasing 282 to win. Come on you Lions...|

PS. Who on earth at Sky Sports decided to add the dire/boring/overblown flatulance of Mark Nicholas to their commentary team?[-X [-X [-X

SL: 82 for 1.:D Go you Lions.:=D: :=D: :=D:

AUSTRALIA WON

For the fourth time and third consecutive title, Australia won the ICC 2007 World Cup.

Gilchrist 149 from 104 balls.

But what a farce at the end - the final three overs played in almost total darkness. The ICC must reconsider venues for these tournaments in future - no ground lighting no game. What a farce - and for the grand final too.

Well done to the boys ..|

Never doubted them for a second
(!) (!) (!) (!) (!)

:gogirl:Come on Aussie:gogirl:

Congratulations to RP and his team.:=D: :=D: :=D:

And a special congrates to Adam Gilchrist for his wonderful innings. Sheer brilliance.:=D: :=D: :=D:

And hail and farewell to the great Glenn McGrath.:=D: :=D: :=D:

The Aussies will try to retain their tenuous;) hold on the Ashes in England in 2009. "It's a foregone conclusion..." ;) ;) ;)

My "pommy" school:

Mike Atherton went to Manchester Grammar School just down the road. We regularly beat them at football. I scored a hat-trick against them way back when.

But we never won a cricket match against them.

They did, however, shower naked:D and provide the best cucumber sandwiches I've ever tasted.:D

Hey Greaves - just wanted to say thanks for running this thread. I've enjoyed checking in now and then...|
