One catch, it has to be have a Mediterrenean climate.
Cold winters suck vagina.
I am just fantasizing about the future....
I think it's Barcelona...but ugh...if I ever moved there I would probably have to learn Catalan too....so annoying.

In my own humble opinion.....it is...Amsterdam!

It is one of the most sexually liberated cities (if not the most liberated city) on the planet.....

Lisbon also has a strong gay scene. I've read it's becoming quite the gay mecca...and from what I've seen and see everyday, I'd tend to agree.
It has the mediterranean climate you've asked for and SO MANY HOT GUYS...it's painful even!
Regarding the language...you already know spanish so it would be easier.

I like Portugal too...I wouldn't mind learning the language since I don't find it disgusting. And I know the guys there are sexy beasts.
But yeah Spanish is easier for me.

I'm not attracted to Amsterdam,London,Paris *I said Mediterrenean climate people*
Paris is not that horribly cold during winter but I don't like the French language...and the Spanish guys are also sexier mmhmm.

I meant that since you already know spanish you probably wouldn't have much trouble learning portuguese. The pronunciations the only thing that would be harder. If you compare written portuguese to written spanish they're not very different.

Podias aprender com facilidade o português. (just a test...can you understand that? It's the same in spanish...only minor differences)

Considering what you've told us, I'd say either Lisbon or Barcelona.

«You can learn with ease portuguese?»

I don't speak Spanish either, I'm just guessing from French.

Yup. Or "you can easily learn portuguese" which, literally, it would be "Podes aprender facilmente o português" but both translations would be correct.

Barcelona or Madrid.

Stay away from Italy tho, they are extremely homophobic.

Spain, for a Catholic country, seems like one of the most liberated countries in the World.

One thing tho, be careful, cuz STD's run rampant in Spain.

PS: You don't have to learn Catalan to be able to function in Barcelona. Trust me, I lived there for like 2 years, and my Spanish (my mother language) allowed me to function perfectly.

More pros and cons of Barcelona:

Pros:

° Just like Goldilocks, it's not too hot (it's hot alright on Summer but compared to the rest of Spain it's mild) and not too cold (here it easily beats Madrid).

° Excellent public transport system, and fairly cheap IMO.

° Hot tourists from all over Europe.

Cons:

° People are not too friendly (they are much more friendly in Madrid or the rest of Spain).

° Hot tourist from all over Europe, but most of them are straight.

Yea Portuguese is similar that's kind of the problem for me.
You see I took a class in Italian once and then I started confusing Spanish and Italian....it all sounds the same to me. So I have to stick to Spanish for now lol.

Cool.
Thanks for the info.

I would say Copenhagen, Malmo, Stockholm, Prague, Cannes, or Ljubljana. I love all of these cities.

I didn't know Ljubljana had a gay scene......well I knew they were smarter than the rest of the southern Slavs...hmm that's interesting...Ljubljana is so close to Croatia...hmmmm....hmm

Mediterranean city with a big gay scene, I agree you should go to Barcelona, but keep in mind that winters in Barcelona are cold too, add wet weather and houses not ready for cold weather.

Maybe Australia is a better choice

It was night and day different between Ljubljana and Zagreb. People were very friendly, outgoing, and helpful in Ljubljana, but very dour, withdrawn, and snippy in Zagreb. I found the Croats to be more friendly towards Dubrovnik and Lake Plitvice, but not to the same level as Ljubljana. The men and kissing / holding hands / etc... were much more open in Slovenia.

I can't really go anywhere else except Europe.
It's the meaning of my life.
Cold weather can be fun too....I just don't like ridiculously cold winters like here in Boston.

People in the Zagreb region are evil. I always had bad experiences with them.
Yea the southern Croats are more like Italians.

You have been everywhere haven't you Mr. sexy Asian chest man...

Compared to the other big gay scene cities in the Mediterranean (which are very few), Barcelona winters are very, very mild. You never have to use head caps to protect your head, that will tell you something.

To the one saying that cities of the ex Yugoslavia are better gay scene wise (tolerant of homosexuality) is surely jesting.

For example in Barcelona, I saw, in a residential/conservative/up scale part of the city two teenage boys (no more than 15) holding hands and being affectionate with each other in public, and nobody even batted an eyelash (and there were elderly people, families, etc. present).

My vote still goes for Barcelona.
