Which gay movie do you like best?

hands down Latter Days for myself...but I am going to have to check out some of these other flims. :)

I finally got a chance to see "Lilles" the other day, which is a Canadian made gay movie...It was pretty good, and not just for the nudity either.

Get Real is always fun, although I hate the ending....And of course, Mambo Italiano is also very funny.

Hmmm...lots of good ones to chose from...

I saw one on late-night TV recently about a piano playing kid who has an affair with an older piano guy in Spain. I loved it. Though that might have been because the main guy was ADORABLE. It might have actually been a shit movie but it worked at 1am on a week-night.

1. Luster, my all time favorite gay movie.
2. Latter Days
3. Sommersturm
4. AKA

1. Broken Hearts Club

3. The Object of My Affection
4. To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar
5. Boy Culture

I enjoyed "Mysterous Skin and "Latter Days(I cried buckets)

I would agre witha lot of the choices lised above but would also like to give a shout out to a movie called "Trick"
It's kinda gooffy but it's also funny performances from Tori Spelling and Miss Coco Peru, and sweet with a cool ending that made me feel really good.
The lead guy played by Christian Campbell is just adorable, and of course there is
cutie John Paul Pitoc who is such a babe.
If you haven't seen it check it out.

Well after just watching it. I am officially adding Get Real to my favorites. It isnt my favorite but it is damn close.

C.R.A.Z.Y.

Mysterious Skin (very dramatic movie, not enjoyable to watch, but very good)

i usually like the gay movies that aren't all about the drama and angst and worry and fear and ostricization and blah, blah, blah of being gay. so i like:

burnt money (plata quemada) - a bank heist movie where two of the characters are a gay couple that have relationships troubles

not another gay movie - a gay version of american pie/porkies

killer condom - silly scifi movie where creatures that look like condoms go around chomping off guy's dicks and a gay cop who's trying to figure out where they're coming from

hard - a cat-and-mouse movie between a gay detective and a gay serial killer.

on the downlow - two gay chicanos who try to make a relationship work despite being in the closet and each from a different gang.

I'll probably be lynched for saying this, but I hated Brokeback Mountain. When I heard they were making the movie I read the novella it is based upon. It was an okay story, but I didn't see how they would turn the piece into a feature length movie. Well my low expectations were met. The acting was nothing special and the plot dragged on far to much in places. Plus I was utterly pissed at Annie Proulx after the movie lost to Crash at the Academy Awards and she acted like a 4-year-old calling it "Trash". I think this movie did a service and definitely got people talking about gay issues, and for that I am glad. However, it just didn't strike me as a good movie. Another gay movie I hate is Eating Out. I rented it for the eye candy, and thankfully really didn't expect a great cinematic masterpiece. It was a poorly acted movie with a stupid and derivative plot.

I much prefer movies like Ma Vie en Rose, you can keep your Brokeback and Eating Out.

I don't want to see the overly "PC" ones, or the most popular.

I guess Trick is one of my favorites...

I think that movie was FOOD OF LOVE..... directed by VENTURA PONS..... he has some great movies, some with gay related themes, but food of love isn't one of them.
