I'd rather see Star Wars though I find them kind of boring Cats looks like a steaming pile of shit!

I just watched the Cats trailer, well a bit of it. It was god-fucking-awful!

The CGI cat-people look creepy as fuck. Why didn't they make them look more like actual cats instead of hairy people with tails and pointy ears?

Just finished watching Star Wars. It's the beat Star Wars film yet!

My friend who is going to Cats with me is seeing Star Wars twice (so he can absorb everything)

I dont think 2019 Cats is any weirder than Broadway Cats. Im not creeped out by the trailer

I wouldnt go based on the reviews but I already told my friend I would go, I had cancelled on him in the past so I feel like I should go. If it sucks, it sucks. It will be fair play. He dragged me to Ad Astra

I want you to know that your comment just made me get off my ass to purchase Cats tickets and I’m currently sitting in an empty theater about to see it. Apparently the update doesn’t roll out till tomorrow and I absolutely cannot wait to see this shitshow for myself.

Mid Movie Update: if anyone who works at Universal is reading this comment, please immediately find and stop the person in charge of uploading these changes. This movie needs to be forever preserved in this form.

2nd update; for those who don’t know, there’s a ton of terribly CGIed mice-human children hybrids in this movie and they’re the stuff of goddamn nightmares. Please prepare yourself for a potentially new fear you could develop through watching Cats.

3rd update: I’m honestly shocked by how right everyone was about this CGI being so bad. Some scenes look amazing. Scenes with one or two cats and closeups look pretty alright, but ensemble numbers and any big prop interactions look like they hired college kids to animate them for “the exposure.” Also, why would they go so hard in the direction of “realistic cat fur and bodies” but keep the human hands, feet, and lips? It’s fucking jarring.

4th update: I just watched a dynamically big-tittied Taylor Swift forcibly drug the rest of the cat chorus with catnip. I say “dynamically big-tittied” because I’m 100% positive that the size of her bust fluctuates drastically from shot to shot.

5th update: I forgot to mention earlier that shortly after the first appearance of mice-children was the appearance of cockroach go-go-like dancers.

6th update, movie’s over thoughts: I didn’t bring nearly enough whiskey for this. I wonder how many of these thousands of animators I’m watching scroll by have lost their job due to their studio just closing. Ultimately, that was a not entirely unpleasant experience. This is a “The Room” level quality bad film. The changes they want to make are going to cost them more money than it’ll earn them from curious viewers.

I saw Cats. I didnt like the music or the cats names but that was from the play. I didnt think it is as bad as people say. I thought the actors looked like cats and I didnt have a problem with that. The theater was 10% full.
I dont want to see it again but I was there for the production , the over sized sets.

I read how Star Wars ended and I like how it ended. It will probably be a movie on demand viewing. Id rather go see Charlize Theron in Bombshell. Now that is a transformation!!

Saw Star Wars on Saturday.

Perfect wrap-up and the homo relationship between the two characters is so clear that anyone with a BF or partner will see it immediately.

No kidding :(

Haven't you watched the trailer yet? ;)

:rotflmao:

I predict under $1 million opening weekend.

I was off by $5 million. It only brought in $6.5 mill.

Star Wars brought in $175.5 million domestic. $373 million worldwide

I watched two Cats trailers. Didn't look bad, actually looked more interesting than the stage original because of the over-sized sets. Trafalgar Square a much more interesting backdrop than an anonymous alley, though not so interesting that I'm inspired to go--the movie that is. I'd love to be in Trafalgar Square right now.

Thoroughly enjoyed Star Wars, try to ignore the haters, if you're a fan you'll be pleased.
Did the 3D in the theatre with the recliners. Good times.

A tweet from someone that went to see Cats this weekend :rotflmao:

"I feel like my entire consciousness has been extruded through a tube and then shot into fucking space."

Cats is said to be so “shockingly bad” that it’s prompting walkouts from cinemagoers.

There were about twenty people at my showing of CATS. Seven walked out. Some people were in fits of laughter by the end. It is shockingly bad. I really don’t think you can understand how freaky and wrong it is until you see it.

There was a dance song (that I was going to post) from the 90's called Jabba Da Hut but I couldnt find it. The results were all Star Wars related

Is there a credited actor who plays Darth Vader (not James Earl Jones who did the voice)?
