But worst of all is that while blacks have been the victims of discrimination, massive immigration has brought other people to work, prosper and climb the economic ladder, leaving the blacks behind. But it is still happening as hispanics and immigrants in general do bett that blacks. How does the democrat program of massive immigration and amnesty for illegals help blacks? They are still the victims of immigration, but their dependence upon welfare, social programs, and crime, keeps them down where discrimination used to keep them. And blacks vote overwhelmingly for the democrat program of massive immigration.

I'd call bullshit on most of this if I was feelin' combative. But being in a peaceable mood I'd say we disagree regarding the proper interpretation of facts here.

All your comments are quite interesting but they are about the problems of black people and the discrimination that they face. They are not on topic about the changes in gay attitudes as equal rights are attained country wide.

Will marriage become the norm? Will gay people stop supporting minorities? If children become an integral part of many gay couples will we see them fighting for a change in your education system? Will their representation in politics be greater? With greater acceptance can gay people become a force for change or will they become lethargic and just wish to safeguard their own hard gained equality?

I have no information on the voting patterns of American gays so it would be interest to know your thoughts.

I'm comfortable with the language of privilege and the desire to deconstruct/unpack everything, but I'm a bit of a navel-gazer by nature.

We can unpack everything using a theory that accurately describes situations, or we can unpack everything hamfistedly. Most of the time, privelege-speak is hamfisted.

I think problems like racism deserve better language. Our policies and practices will only benefit by being clear.

A large portion of the powers that be in th gop are racist---and increasing not shy of expressing it---the way they treat Obama is also proof.
Having said that--I know several gay millionaires and it is already true they vote gop if it's a northeastern type who is liberal on gay issues and other social issues--they love their money and love their tax cuts so they can buy another home or Range Rover or boy toy.

Sad that you think white gay guys are only Democrats because of gay issues. Personally I sort of like the environment, all sort of equal rights (not just gay), and workers rights such as unions, separation of church and state, regulating the greed of the corporate whores that are taking us back to where we were in the roaring 1920's. Many other things, gay issues may be in the top 5 but not number 1.

Minorities tend to vote democrat, so democrat laws always favor minorities. Immigration is intended to be anti white. The Dobbs Frank law requires covered agencies and businesses to hire minorities and women to the "to the maximum extent possible".

This is so ridiculous. It is all about numbers. Once you start to consider that minority populations still only have between 5% and 10% who are actively homo...and then you factor out all those who don't want to be 'coupled'....and then all those who come from repressive cultural backgrounds who aren't out....the pool of available other non-white partners in many communities becomes pretty small to choose from.

Back up there pal..............what about those of us who were here before White immigrants showed up? Natives, such as myself, have no opposition to immigrants, even White people.

As to hiring practices, minorities should be given an edge, afterall it was White immigrants that denied others employment, beyond menial labour, for a long time.
