there are three other white kids at the back of this bus (one even puts his hand over his mouth like a giggling schoolgirl at 0:38 ).

this looks more like a bully the geeky kid then a racist thing.

I thought so too.

also i have a great respect for bus drivers. One at my old school was stabbed in the hand when he tried to intevene in a fight on his bus. So before we throw around the blame on the bus driver, the parents need some of the balme to raise shits like this too.

Bus-driving is a shitty, dangerous job that isn't worth the money you won't be making.

I'm sure this happens all the time, in both directions. Kids in school get beaten up a lot, usually for really stupid reasons. And apparently it's getting worse...

Maybe it just looks that way because we have cameras now?

I am not sure if the victim is completely innocent.

the white kid could have said something to instigate the attack. who knows without the whole story? and i agree - the tape is PART of the evidence. you don't know all the factors from seeing the tape alone.

The bus driver needs to be fired. I don't care if he was afraid to inervene... if you're too chicken to stand up to a bunch of teen bullies, being a bus driver isn't a job for you.

The kids need to be charged with assault, the bulk of the kids on the bus need to be charged under inciting... maybe under a "good Samaritan" law.

The kid himself needs to sue the school, the driver, the families of the bullies...

That's the unfortunate problem with these shitty public schools.

If they were older and adults than it would be considered assualt.

But they were just being stupid random dumbasses which kids can be sometimes. But not all kids.

The problem is when it goes from being a loud dumbass to a violent one. Which happened in this case. I do agree that even if that kid who got his ass kicked was being a jack ass he diddn't deserve the beating.

But it's how it is. Hell in school all the time I saw people beating the fuck out of each other.

No one tried to stop it. All it was is "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT, KICK HIS ASS"

And than some bullshit artist would pretend to stop it if someone was coming to pretend they were doing the right thing.

Jason might be right though it might not be racial. They might have just been acting like stupid violent animals which people tend to do sometimes. Regardless the bus driver was not being responsible. Not all bush overs are push overs too.

There are TONS of bus drivers that would scare the shit out of people and keep discipline and order on the bus. And there are some who let all hell break loose and drive quietly hoping it will resolve itself.

In high school whenever there was a fight on the school bus or whenever kids started arguing with each other our bus driver would pull over and call the cops and they would be there in 5 mins. Isn't there specific training for this type of situation, I mean its a bus full of school kids, fighting would be a common thing.

This is one of the reasons why I don't need to be a parent. If that were my kid getting beat down like that, or if I saw my kid in the video laughing and cheering, I would be raising hell like somebody who came from hell itself! The bus driver is at fault, but those kids are savages.

This is fucked on so many different levels. Did the attacker act on racial standing alone? Doesn't seem that way. He is an asshat douchebag to be sure, that bus was overcrowded, there were 3 girls in one seat in the front, and he is entitled to a seat all by himself. Whatever. But we can't answer the questions this vid brings to mind. Such as would a fight have occured if the victim was black? Is the victim an asshat instigator as well? Won't know the answers until the witnesses are interviewed and the transcripts released, which they probably won't be as the people involved are minors with the exception of the driver. Who should be held responsible for the second attack by not controlling the situation, those kids should have been on the complete opposite ends of the bus after the first attack, and the driver should have called for silence, or help, or the police. My sister is a teacher in St. Louis. This past weekend she told me that if she ever leaves the field of education it will be the parents who drive her away. Parents who put no stock in the benefits of the education process, or are so fucked up themselves they in turn produce the hellspawn we have witnessed here. I'll call her today and seek her opinion about this.

One thing about the St. Louis schools, about 30 years ago the inner city schools which are primarily populated by black students began to decay. The affluent parents started sending their kids to private schools, and with a lower number of students the schools started recieving less funding. At the same time, the schools in the suburbs started to see improvements across the board in terms of academic acheivement, attendance, etc. It was decided then, the solution to the problem was to bus the black inner city kids out to the subburbs so they would be afforded the same environment to achieve that white suburbian kids had. It worked for some time. But now, the times are changing. The morals and values instilled in youths thirty years ago, are not the same ones being passed down now. And instead of trying to improve the inner city schools for their own merit, the city just keeps busing them out. What message does that send? Your neighborhood is so shitty and hopeless it's not worth bothering to improve. Let's take you over to the other side of the fence and you can see what you've been missing, and if your good, and do what your supposed to one day you too can live in the burbs and be productive members of society. It's all fucked!

The kid was outright attacked, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise since the camera is what caught the whole incident. So the camera is the evidence, plain and simple.

The video evidences the assault, not the causation of the assault.

The police investigation will ensure that all the bus passengers are interviewed, and the cause of the assault determined.

This sickens me!!..Stuff like this scares me to have kids some times...If my child came home or called me and said "I have just been been attacked at school!",God himself would have to come down to stop me from taking the heads off of the attackers!!..

I always tell my partner that if we have kids,they will go to self defense classes and will be able to defend themselves if they are ever attacked like this guy was!
I feel so bad for the guy who was just beat down for what??..Was he talking trash?..It does not look like it from the tape,it does however look like the guy who started throwing the punches was..Even if the guy was trash talking it does not mean beat him and choke him out!!...
