Chance honey, I've got the asshole Irish Catholic father too and he was the main reason my current BF and me split up the first time. I've endured the BS that he has shoveled out and gave me thick skin and hardened my BF's too. So don't even throw that around as an excuse.

Chance1 never plays the victim, and it's probably a reason why he's sometimes a dick to the Moderators here when we delete post.

He can "take it" as he proclaims.

My point from the get go, since my first post in this thread is for everyone to at least try to see each post from someone as the first time that you've ever heard/read that idea and THEN look at who posted it.

If you find that you're not surprised, well guess what? They're not surprised in your response either.

I've always tried to understand somebody's point of view that may be different from mine to learn where they are coming from. You learn a lot more about someone if you ask why they may think a certain way instead of berating them with a torrent of ill-conceived words. Let them explain themselves instead of telling them what to think.

And this is one of those rare threads where we have the opportunity to do that.

If our only true goal is to marginalize, and segment and separate ourselves from other members and opinions without considering the humanity of the other posters....then why even bothering having these types of discussion threads here?

Why put out our true feelings, and opinions if we're just going to subject ourselves to judgement and ridicule?

It's easy for those who share a "majority opinion" because even if they're wrong someone is going to back them up.

If you're in the minority, well by Gawd you had better have your facts, sources, links, and further more your "shit together" before you start posting here.

That's what I've been seeing / witnessing here, and oooh how biased and inconsistent the Moderators of this Forum Are!

Privately engaging each other, if you're truly here to make friends (and some have indicated that they are), what better way to do that?

If you want to marginalize, and take away the humanity of an individual member because of one or two posts that you've read because you don't like their opinion?

You're not going to be here for very long.

Individuals who post here and "play victim" don't get a free pass either.

Own it. Fess up to it when you're being called out upon it, and let's all move forward without considering one a weakness over another.

Thanks Sweets. I wasn't able to see sigs until I asked Centex what I was doing wrong, and he showed me the light. The forum takes on a whole new dimension with sigs.

You didn't seem to have any reason to NOT disparage me and my upbringing and values by calling/accusing me of being insincere when I didn't side with your perspective.

So how or why should I, as a moderator, continue to defend the perceive right for individuals to show a lack of Courtesy and Respect toward one another?

I was trying to me nice the best way that I knew how, while others don't even make an effort.

One of the reasons I admire jackaroe as a moderator, is because I do believe that he can hold his own in a debate and then separate himself from the BS when the rubber hits the road.

Can you separate your mod functions here at JUB with your friendship with Chance?

because it looks like its not happening, to be honest.It also looks like you are here spoiling for a fight for a buddy.

I have to tell you, Centexfarmer has no issue being fair and impartial BP. He's stepped up to the plate and told people I know to be friends of his, that they have acted out of line and done what was needed. I've seen it and I'm here to tell you it's a fact.

It's part of what we all have to do sometimes as mods. Do we like to? No, no more than you or anyone else would.

I consider Centexfarmer to be a friend. We're two sides of the same coin. He's never given me or any of the other mods any reason to question his integrity. I'd hope you'd give him the same courtesy. I think your reading something into what he's posted and that there's a misunderstanding between you, that's all.
