I live in North America a lot but I am so happy to be in my cottage in the British country with lovely views of the sea.

Of course there are not the same opportunities as in a town to have sex. But it is worth it being in UK. Some times the most unexepted and hot opportunitees arise ( literely).

Anyway for now send you all hug. Send me one too.

I used to live on 200 acres of land, no one else around for miles. I just loved it, me and my dogs.

Now I live in the city and just hate it.

(*8*) for you sixpackinboxers

If I end up staying in the UK I'd HAVE to move to the country - Newport aint that big a city - and 30 minutes in any direction leads into the country side. I just want my log cabin near a river!

I live in a booming Metropolis of 696 people... and half of them go back to Mexico for the winter.

It's not great but I am happy sometimes :p

Just hitch a ride on any Amish buggy in Intercourse and ask them to turn right at Kleinfeltersville. You'll find me.

Is Jupiter 1 visible from Kleinfeltersville? I don't trust the Amish, I nearly died choking on some Quaker's oats. :(

Newport shouldn't even be a city if you ask me.

I'm quite happy where I am at the moment, think I'll stay for the foreseeable.

At the moment I live right near the city centre in Bristol. It's okay, but I would move to the countryside at a moment's notice if I ever had the chance, but only if I could live in a small house in the middle of nowhere. My worst nightmare would be to live in a small village where everyone knows everyone else and feels they have the right to interefere with your life. One of the reasons that I like city living is because of the anonimity; I don't really like other people all that much and at least no-one bugs me here.

As for the sex thing: I live within a few minutes walk of gay clubs and cruising grounds, but neither hold the slightest interest for me nowadays, so living in the country would make no difference.

Couldn't be happier! ..|

I grew up in the country. There are times that I wish I still lived in a nice quiet little town where there is only so much traffic and the night sky burns bright with stars. Maybe one of these days I'll find my way there. But for now, I'm alright here in town. :)

I am a Catalan Spaniard living in Catalonia, Spain.
I may be a stupid jerk but not of the kind that would be proud and happy to live here forever.

Yeah, here on the Cape is nice. Plenty of tourists to prey on in the summer and when the crowds get to be to much, the season is over and it gets quiet again. Besides, Boston isn't that far away and I venture south to Newport looking for Nonimus, no joy yet.

He does live in Rhode Island right?

I like living in the country.I like our nice cabin, the lack of neighbors and the fact that no mapping service(mapquest, etc.) can get you anywhere near us. It does have drawbacks, but I only think about them when I get inconvenienced. And unlike living in the burbs, people don't seem to be interested in or bothered by what we do in our bedroom.

I can't stand the country. I live in a medium sized city and travel to a small city for work. i absolutely hate it. a bunch of inbred rednecks that are completely ignorant of the world around them. spotty cellphone coverage. spotty to non-existant cable/dsl connections. only 1 starbucks for 10 miles. they drive so slow and so badly.

i need the city. i love the bus. i love the wifi coverage. i love the traffic. i love the diversity. i love the stores. the hospitals. the starbucks. the restaurants.

but of all these things, the thing that scares me the most about the country is the poor access to good emergency services. something happens to you and u are libel to die. you're far from the hospital. few ems workers/vehicles. many times there's no contract with helicopter ambulance services. the nearby hospitals are useless regional hospitals. no specialists on call. just er docs. no offense to er docs, but if i have head trauma, i want a freakin neurologist to see me. last i heard, austin doesn't have neurologists on call during the weekend, but atleast they could starflight me to houston.

^Wow! I live in the country on a boat, I have broad band internet, several busses an hour, nearest town a few minuets away with stores if I need them. Emergency services better than living in the town as I am closer to the hospital which also has an air ambulance. I don't miss the traffic, noise, crowds and exhaust fumes of the city, I am extreemly lucky and wouldn't change it for the world.

Well stated!! Add in to that the fact that any house comparable to mine in the city or suburbs would have cost 6 or 8 times what I paid for mine..and would come with a lot more rules...I'll stay where I am.
