I think that it's almost inevitable.

If you're near a TV at this moment, there are a number of places you can go to see the Chicago kerfuffle that's happening, with massive physical clashes between Trump supporters and anti-Trump protesters, which was enough for him to actually call off his speech.

Of course, THIS WILL PROBABLY HELP HIS CAMPAIGN ENORMOUSLY. He WILL be able to "spin" this so that he looks like the good guy, the mature guy in the room.

He, and he alone, created this monster. In turn, he is the monster that was created by years and years of extreme racist Republican vitriol.

Somebody is going to get killed, or be paralyzed for life with a broken neck, or something else similarly horrible. Somebody is going to show up with a gun, to take out protesters, or...what else?

have to disagree Frank

people are responsible for their actions

the protestors are equally to blame here for the the fracas

CNN showing a loop over and over again - same two guys fighting

with the same anti Trump talking heads saying he's responsible

He's a dick for sure and not a good candidate for President but this biased approach to News will do more to drive support than condemnation IMO

I'm still agreeing with Frank, who seems to be on a roll tonight. It doesn't matter that it was two guys - the point is that Trump rallies have encouraged violence through their platform and continue to do so. You don't need to start a fight when they dislike you - they claim you started it merely by existing. There's already been people hurt - and his rallies are, ah, unlikely to get any gentler as things go on.

He's been glorifying violence against protesters (and violence in general) all along, and blaming people for it.

Mexicans are criminals and rapists...

I could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue, and I wouldn't lose any votes

The protesters beat up in Boston, well it was because my supporters are enthusiastic, and it's all good

I would love to punch him in the face...

etc. etc. etc.

IS THIS BEING PRESIDENTIAL AT ALL? Perhaps for Putin, yeah.

this, of course, has assured his win in Florida...and, probably, Ohio.

Online rally is better than go to the rally.
Political rally is a waste of time, [STRIKE]only stupid people go there. [/STRIKE]

Ohio's 17yr olds are voting in the primary, so I'm hoping that'll help. And his rally was actually cancelled in Chicago because he didn't like the protesters.

The irony? Trump's whining about free speech.

as I understand it they're allowed to vote in the primary because they'll be 18 in the general, it was confirmed. And yep, just happened about Chicago.

Edited- my bad, he said he cancelled it because he didn't want to see anyone hurt. But oh, was he whining about people disagreeing with him in public. He seems to think free speech means no one gets to gainsay him.

The people who commit the violence should be held accountable, of course. As well as the person who incites that violence if there is a person that does and Donald Trump does. Ignoring that fact is being willfully ignorant.

The anger, hate and violence that happens at his rallies exists because he created it.

Now that the protestors have succeeded ONCE -- why don't they organize, and succeed at EVERY rally!!! ..|

Just an idea -- I'm not wanting anyone physically injured or anything...

:):):)

That's only likely to happen in a city. I'm certain if he comes to Philly he won't have a good reception, though.

repubs are all about violence---not just trump---it's his violence is more obvious---but the dog whistles of the repubs have been going on for years--and the violent hate speech---Obama is the devil, he's not American, they shout he's a liar at State of the Union---he's doing illegal things---he shits on the constitution---so many horrible things like the country is being taken over by a demon---all are lies and over the top bullshit incite violence in dumb helpless people who are working and not making money because of repub policies---it's all so laughable.

The man in NC that punched the protester, is an example of the type of person that is supporting Trump. It says a lot about the character of Trump supporters, even though I'm referring to one 78 year old racist white man. All of that being said, protester should not go to a Trump rally and make so much noise that the rally has to shut down. It reflects poorly on the protesters, and gives the Trump supporters more power.

It is true that people are responsible for their own actions but lately Donald has become increasingly inflammatory...compared to the thugs the protestors were nowhere near "asking for it" and it's the over the top vitriol for his critics that have resonated with his most aggressive supporters. Donald saying things that could be construed as support for thuggish supporters to take things in their own hands to silence critics is raising the stakes perilously close to provocation and people may really get hurt. This man. on temperament alone, isn't qualified to serve in the office of President of the United States.

I don't think this would have occurred without Trump's treatment of people that have protested at his other events. Sanders and Clinton have also had people show up and protest at their events, but none have even come close to resembling anything like this. Trump's rhetoric and how he's handling protesters is literally breeding this violence. He's shutting people down and they're only resolving to come back harder. People have seen this coming for a while now and it could definitely get worse.

I don't know if I think anyone is going to die, but it is a long time until the election is over.

Once he said that in the old days, protestors 'would have been taken out on stretchers'.....he clearly was inciting his followers to violence.

His new security uniform?

Palin did it too....intentionally inciting violence.

His not taking any responsibility for it is very telling..for anyone who actually pays attention to who and what they are dealing with....

...and to think 33% of the "berns" would actually vote for this guy.......
