Who do you think will have the #1 album of 2007

My Predicitons:

Ashley Tisdale (50%) - if she can get the Disney tweens behind her then it could happen.

Kelly Rowland (50%) - Since Beyonce is tanking maybe she has a chance to rise above her.

Kelly Clarkson (90%) - Breakaway was huge and I think she can get some big sales from this upcoming album.

Pussycat Dolls (75%) - At first everyone said they were whores but after 4 huge hits that everyone love they have grown on people.

Eminem (90%) - solid fanbase, has always had it and if this is his last album (as speculated) then it could sell big.

Paris Hilton (10%) - just thought like mentioning her.

Aerosmith (50%) - solid fanbase, but never any really amazing sales.

Aviril Lavigne (50%) - always that slim chance she could match the success of her 1st album.

Coldplay (90%) - People love them and their music. Could end up winning in the end.

Britney Spears (80%) - After being gone so long she could really go big with this album, especially with all the hype around her album.

50 Cent (80%) - Biggest rap star since eminem. Enough said.

Linkin Park (80%) - People love them and their music. Meteora was a huge hit, they could match it.

Michael Jacknson (?%) - lol I just love that he keeps trying.

Radiohead.

EVen their shit sells.

The fact that there's new albums by bands that broke up years ago and said they'd never get back together like Styx, Smashing Pumpkins, Type O Negative, Tears for Fears and Alice in Chains..

Oh well... glad about the new ACDC, the new Death Angel and I'm interested to see what Megadeth is going to belch out.

Aerosmith hasn't made a record worth listening to in about 20 years.

And since Judas Priest is my favorite band along side Soilwork (who also may have a new album next year), I'm totally stoked about that one.

Exactly how many songs can he "sing" about being "Slim Shady", anyway? that shit got tired like 6 years ago.

If Britney makes some good music, I think she can do it. I mean extremely good. Like "In The Zone" x10.

If Eminem puts on about 50 lbs he could change his name to Slim Fast Shady.

yes, and if monkies fly out of my ass, there will be more toys at Christmas.

SO not going to happen.

Britney is done like dinner.. she'll maybe sell a million or so to the "Slow down to see the car accident" set, but not to people who like music.

The Smashing Pumpkins

The Smashing Pumpkins are back!!!!!I hope it's not a greatest hits album or anything if not I'm so excited

If Usher comes out, the rest can forget about it. Seriously, the last two albums he has had, have sold the most for their respective years. I heard he might have an album next year.

Kelly Clarkson.

The stuff sampled on her tour, is amamzing. The more singer/songwriter stuff she's going for will really get the other half of the world to open their eyes to her. Breakaway opened the door, not just for her die hard fans, but for people who hate pop, hate AI, hated Kelly, she won them over. I think she'll keep on doing it.

Plus, she has major promotion lined up already. She has an HBO concert series to air the week of her CD release. Witht he right single, and right T.V. shows added to the mix (SNL, Ellen, Jay Leno) I could easily see her opening up with #'s ranging from 700K to 1 mill.

Well over here in the UK, Scissor Sisters new album sold 83,000 copies in 1 day - compared to last weeks #1 album 'JustinTimberlake' who sold 90,000 during the whole week... its said to be the fasting selling album to date here in the UK said to sell upto or over 300,000 after the weeks up. I haven't heard the album, but there new songs great - and the sales speak for themselves.

I'm looking forward to Avril's, Kelly's and Britneys new stuff.

I think worldwide, Justin's album will sell the most this year - just because hes so well known... even though its a poor attempt and trying to be innovative. [-X

I bolded my thoughts

Britney

Britney ALL THE WAY.

The pop world has been waiting patiently for the princess of pop to return.

Rihanna has done a good job of keep pop alive but 2007 is all about the brit.

Britney is working with some amazing songwriters so you can expect Toxic * 10.

Britney is going to come back big.

You heard it hear first.

Whitney Houston will have a huge album.

Mariah Carey will also go #1 again.

Kelly Clarkson, another hit album.

Pussycat Dolls, a huge album.

Nicole Scherzinger, a hit debut.

Michael Jackson, over.

Britney, no way. She will fall dramatically.

The only album I am dying for is Britneys!!! I've been a die hard fan since day 1 and I hope she goes all out with an album, tour and everything.

I heard Nicole is coming out with a solo cd before the next Pussycat Doll cd. They did an interview on Mtv and they was all talking about it.

I also cant wait for:
Diana Degarmo
Britney Spears
Kimberely Locke
Kelly Clarkson
Christina Milian
Joss Stone
Vanessa Carlton
Nicole S.
Stacie Orrico (You can already buy this on Ebay)
Paris Hilton
Ashely Tisdale
Kelly Rowland
Avril Lavigne
Good Charlotte
Simple Plan
Melanie C
The Click Five
Ryan Cabrera
Tyler Hilton
Jim Verraros
RBD
Lindsay Lohan
Willa Ford (?)
Anastacia
Mariah Carey
Jump5
Brandy (?)
Lillix
Lila McCann
Nivea
Hope Partlow
Mandy Moore
3LW
Carrie Underwood
Daniel Powter
Jennifer Lopez (?)
Tamyra Gray
Natasha Bedingfield
Angela Ammons

Mariah Carey is planning on coming up with 2 albums next year. She is already working on a new LP and is hoping to put out a new Christmas album!

Can't wait!

Another Christmas album? Where d'you hear that? :P

I personally hope she'll just put out the studio album and a live cd/dvd combo;)

Most of the artists mentioned here already reached their peak. Top albums of the year almost always go to new/breakthrough artists. We probably don't really know who the artist is yet.

Just look at this list of top albums:

1994 - Ace of Base (debut)
1995 - Hootie (debut)
1996 - Alanis (debut)
1997 - Spice Girls (debut)
1998 - Titanic (soundtrack)
1999 - Backstreet (2nd album)
2000 - NSync (2nd album)
2001 - Linkin park (breakthrough)
2002 - ??
2003 - 50 cent (debut)
2004 - Usher
2005 - ??
2006 - High School (soundtrack)
