I'm afraid for my mum gettting it. Me and my sister are currently living with her and my sister works in a care home and its always a risk that she could get it from us. We don't know if the virus is already in the home as they've done no tests.

We don't have a vaccine yet for this, though. Without social distancing and stay at home restrictions, it would be a lot worse. For 15-20% of victims, the virus causes severe or critical breathing difficulties. Organ damage is even being seen in people recovered. When it hits hard, it is nastier than the flu. Don't be a Dr. Phil or William Bennett, either.

Oh, I believe we should all be taking measures and treating it seriously, but I think it needs scale and perspective. What sells news is always focusing on disasters, deaths, drama, politics and celebrities.

Epidemiology is science, and science is always numbers. A rational analysis is about the numbers, not the hype.

And sorry, I don't follow Dr. Phil ever, so am guessing he is some kind of virus denier. Did hear of Bennett's interview. Shameful, it was. 30 pieces of silver.

Wow. I suggested this 19 pages ago in the very first post and everyone shit their pants. Look at the numbers people, it's common sense. But also follow the $$. Who is getting richer and more powerful off of this situation?
