Who's watching the Food Network Awards?

I was just coming to post the same thing!

I'm so excited!

The Food Network is my favorite channel.
 
Me too. Well, I'm sitting in the office listening to it from the next room. Sad to think -300 channels and this is the best thing on.

It was there first annual award show, they taped it back in late February at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. I was at work but I DVRed it. When I get a chance I will watch.
 
I don't even know what the categories are, but I hope my girl Ray-Ray and America's cutie Dave Lieberman take home some awards. :D
 
I'm watching them, but I don't understand how the awards and ceremonies work...
 
I'm sorry....

Yes, I watch *way* too much of the Food Network myself, but this is like the dumbest thing I've seen on TV in some time.

It opened with all the 'stars' walking the red carpet....Emeril, Paula, Rachel...
followed by people dressed in Keebler Elf and Charlie the Tuna costumes and
I believe even Tony the Tiger made an appearance.....

*Sheesh* I picked the wrong weekend to give up acid. :lol:

Then, the categories.... Best Super Market, Best creative use of chocolate, best pizza, best laxative.... (OK, I made that last one up..)

Ahh well, the highlight for me was watching Paula Deen's son (major *woof*)
give the 'ya wanna hook up ?' eye to Sandra Lee, who was 'half in the bag' as usual...

A truly ODD night of television.

Her son is beyond sexy.

Sandra Lee cracks me up. I don't think she can create a single semi-homemade meal without making some alcoholic beverage to get soused afterwards -- but then always includes a 'kiddie' version of the drink so that they can get in on the fun. That's the way to do it, get the kids in the habit from an early age!

Meanwhile, Paula Deen... did you see the episode of "Paula's Party" where she had humongous car-tire sized slabs of butter that she used in her recipes? She even needed several buff men -- titled 'Butter Wranglers' -- to carry the butter out. She even made... get this... DEEP FRIED BUTTER. It was classic! I'll never forget it.

And I've memorized Rachael Ray's schpiel. "Hi, I'm Rachael Ray, and I make thirty minute meals! Now that means in the time that it takes you to watch this program, I'll have made a delicious and healthy meal from start to finish!"

Is it weird of me to have a crush on Alton Brown? It's kind of strange, but there's something completely adorable about him. His "Good Eats" show is fascinating, as well. I learn so much! LoL

And Giada de Laurentiis needs to be in movies. She's GORGEOUS.

My roommate and I laugh so hard about Sandra Lee and her "cocktail time"

When Mark Summer did an unwrapped on FoodTV special he asked her about all her cocktails, and she said "after working 18 hours a day you got to have a cocktail" lmao!!!

Nah, I think Alton's kind of hot, too. I didn't used to, but when he did his
'on the road' specials and I saw him in just jeans and T-shirts and facial stubble, I thought, "Damn, he looks a LOT better this way.."

And, in case you didn't know, Giada's Dad is Dino de Laurentis, a film director/producer with such dubious credits as 1976's version of 'King Kong' under his belt...

No matter....her family is worth millions, and she sure looks it.
 
i watch all the time -- getting chubbies to Dave L., Tyler, and Michale Chiarello -
(Dan and Steve don't do anything for me - but I'm glad they're on -- the network "seems" to have many gay top execs. Alton is "kinda cute" in a non-sexy way. Rachael, Paula, Giada and the Dean boys all rock. of course. Wish Tyler would go on a diet - he's looking so puffy !!
 
OMG. Michael Chiarello! He's so hot! I totally think he's gay...despite being married and apparently having a daughter...Maybe I just want him that bad...
 
Did you see Dave Leiberman, on the red carpet, before the show?!? WOW!
