Sweden -- this year. I met her when my mom had a triple-bypass operation. She was the hottest head nurse I've ever set eyes on (head of cardiac, not the whole hospital).

One of the surgeons was Finnish, come here via England.

Can't speak to other countries because I have not lived in a foreign country for more than 1 year to really know them.

Here's what I can say about USA. Americans are very generous in giving. They give their time & money to charity...to help each other in times of tragedies.

Actually, about two weeks ago. A customer in Finland told me that he's moving to New York City [Queens] in May, and will be getting married as well (to a woman). I actually can't imagine why somebody from the places you mention would want to emigrate to the USA, though. The only reason I feel as positive about this place as I do, is because my entire lifetime of nearly everything I've grown to love, and nearly everybody I've come to know, is in this country.

If I didn't have ties, and a situation where moving is one of the most incredibly massive projects of all time (involving about 5,000 hours of work to do it properly and to its adequate benefit) ahd hugely bulky, I would have left the United States years ago.

To add to Kuli's post the first guy i fucked when I got here to beautiful Kansas City was from France and he was here for school and then was working on staying. To that end I see more people come up to me at job fairs in colleges who are trying to figure out a way to be American and they come from every country on earth....
