It's a natural outgrowth of other stereotypes about Asians:

1. That they're small. (Fair bit of truth to that.)
2. That their penises are small (I don't have a big enough sample size to know*).
3. That they're not very masculine (matter of cultural semaphors, but not very true AFAICT).
4. That fem guys are bottoms and that bottoms are fem (hardly true at all, thank gods).

This all adds up to the assumption that Asian guys are bottoms. It's helped out by porn, in which Asian tops hardly ever appear (unless you realize that Indo-Pak guys are Asian, as are Turks).
