Yes. The beauty standard in Asia in pop culture tends to revolve around very "pretty" boys. Though I would say, at the same time, that guys on the "prettier" side are always overrepresented in western pop culture as well compared to more "manly men." Zac Efron in any headshot or pre-celebrity workout trainer was never exactly a pillar of oozing masculinity visually.

Then again North American notions of masculinity tend to disdain tight pants, dancing or rhythm music-- by a lot of our "notions", many goodlooking young European guys are "less masculine." But we don't tend to proscribe to them a bedroom position of bottoming across the board.

I think the history, in movies and in popular culture, of depicting an image of Asian men as subservient, unassertive, nonthreatening and lacking virility is still very alive and well, and this has at least as much to do with it as any loose connection people might draw between body frame and cultural inferences surrounding appearance or anything else with why people tend to discount the concept of "Asian tops."

I promise, there's plenty of gay sex in Asia and they're not importing manly white men to do all of the topping.

Post-script: I think the "but I never run into Asian guys who aren't bottoms for non-Asian tops..." is created by exactly the same kind of selective sampling that gives many straight people the idea that all gay people are effeminate or stereotypical. They're easier to spot, see, and identify.
