  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Why are asian guys stereotyped as bottoms in the gay community?

@star-warrior case in point, said coworker has shown me tons of pics of Asian boy bands and they all are so androgynous, you absolutely can't tell if they're boys or girls with short haircuts.

You can insult east asians whatever you want but I hope you won't take polynesian/S.E asian to your generalization becoase...I know some of them are "failing" in drag-category ^^

I don't think being well dressed makes them un masculine. It sort of gives some of them a regency England look. Classy and sexy.

And really as gay people we shouldn't be so concerned about gender roles anyway

And if the world revolved around what you or I think we wouldn't be having this discussion. The author asked a question about social attitudes and I answered in kind. None of this is my opinion, I'm not that dense. The first and best dick I ever got was from a prancing dancing twirling swirling fairy, I never make stupid assumptions about someone's position based on behavior or mannerisms. I grew up in the Midwest where nothing is what it seems on the surface.

Well of course none of them can compare to you, your highness.

Makes sense. Cultural sharing, less colonized, easier to understand... more entitlement, larger builds so more toppish I am guessing.

But more importantly are they more hung from an American diet?

No it has nothing to do with diet but yes I like Asian Americans for those reasons. Unfortunately most of the one's on grindr in NYC and back at college are foreigners.

 That's cute. an American diet hasn't helped me any.

It's not an insult to be called femme or pretty. Unless one is a misogynist and looks down on women.

Methinks Asian culture is seen as very effeminate, I have a coworker who loves Asian guys and every pic she shows me of an Asian guy they're all glammed up, make-up, over-groomed, not exactly the poster children for masculinity.

That guy in the picture has those features especially the long hair that make him look effeminate. Those types of faces with typically feminine features can be found in any race/culture. Last week or so there was a black guy who posted a poll asking whether he looked like a bottom a and the result was mostly Yes :)

Being glammed up/make up/grooming has NOTHING to do with 'masculinity'. These guys are more glammed and groomed than that guy but they look totally masculine afaic.

But I do agree that many of the famous Asian stars especially K-Pop singer who's posters that you see are feminine looking guys. But maybe they view masculinity differently. I mean pink used to be the colour for boys in Korea.

I also think Asian guys - actually twinks make great bottoms in scenes when paired with bigger white/black men (but I like any twink + hunk or bear or daddy pairing :)). This scene on Xvideos in that genre has become really popular. More than 200 comments mostly about the bottom.

That same bottom guy was in another scene with an old fat bear and at this point when he's carrying the twink the bear went 'Perfect Fucking Size' :dead:

Which is completely irrelevant to this topic but, uhhh, thanks?

Not sure which universe you're living in but when you're ready to join us in reality I will roll out the welcome mat.

Is that you?

No, seriously...
just dont count on S.E Asian for transvestism
they dont deserve to be treated like ladies since they're fugly as hell. I remembered them singing and dancing on the street to get money since they're difficult to function. None of them/ rarely are beautiful as women

perhaps, you're prettier ;)

Or maybe no one picks members of pop boy-bands to be symbols of their culture's masculinity? I think you would get a pretty comedic reaction if you were to suggest among American men that the guys in American boy bands are masculine dudes.
