  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

why are most Americas cut?

Chop chop....

I like em both ways but definitely dont dig the stinky dinky. (not to generalize or nothing) .. if it has a hoodie you better be good at cleaning inside and out....

I was uncut for 17 years, then I had the OP and I can honestly say I'm 100% happier now.

I don't like those who are cut and say they wont go near an uncircumcised dick though, it's really ignorant and you just sound fucking stupid tbqh

I don't think it ever was a Christian religious thing. At one time the medical profession urged it.

If I were any more sensitive, I'd cum in about a minute. Thankfully I'm cut and very happy with what I got. Besides, Most guys don't even wash their hands when in the bathroom, never mind properly cleaning their weiners.

I don't know why my parents had me cut.

I do know my dad wasn't cut until he joined the Navy during World War II. The navy believed it lowered the chances of getting STDs, so they cut cut the guys when arrived at boot camp.

@blublud

yes, all of that, cleaner, more pleasureable etc...

@LatimerRd

I found the circumcision made everything better, in all aspects, I have heard people say they lost sensitivity but I think in those instances it has more to do with a lack of surgical skills on the Dr's behalf.

Well since you had phimosis, perhaps your experience was different than those that got cut and didn't have phimosis.

I also would like to point out how creepy it is to circumcise a child for vanity......I don't care if they've been doing for thousands of years...thousands of years of creepiness. Health wise, we have condoms, vaccines, and so much more now that circumcision is not even necessary. (Was it ever?) When they tried to allow just a ritual nick for little girls, nothing close to fgm, the whole country shit on themselves. When will newborn boys be taken, hugged, and loved like newborn girls are? Instead of meeting with a scalpel when coming out?

There may be some medical reasons that recommend circ, but that doesn't mean we have to cut a perfectly healthy baby. In a culture where men are supposed to be tough, it blows my mind that American men, most who are circumcised, talk about how painful it is to be circumcised. Pain is part of life, and more than likely an individual will never have to have the operation.

Knowing how guys by nature are dirty slobs, especially teenagers, I wouldn't bet on them keeping their anteaters clean. Cut dick it is. :D

Oh? Most men in the world (around 70%) seem to do it with no problem. I never knew it was rocket science, but whatever.

I didn't suck 70% of world's uncut dicks, but having conversations with both guys and girls who'd had sucked uncut dicks, most of their horror stories of smelly dicks cheese stories were about encounters with uncut guys. Now personally, I don't automatically get turned off by uncut guys, but extra lose/long foreskin can be unsightly to me. But whatever.

I still find it creepy that we are cutting perfectly healthy infants for the sake of blowjobs. They're not even that great and thanks to blow jobs everyone has type one and two herpes in all the wrong places.(Off topic but still....)

Around the time I was born, in the 1960s, it was standard practice at virtually all hospitals in the U.S. to circumcise a baby boy. I think it was just a routine thing, not even discussed. So virtually all guys my age in the U.S., at least the white guys, are cut. Hispanics of my age seem generally to be uncut. I don't know why that is, maybe a cultural thing. Other ethnicities I don't know about. But in the schools I went to, which were predominantly white and Hispanic, virtually every white guy was cut. Nowadays, though, I think they ask the parents what they want done, before the birth happens.

Children are born with freedom of religion. Parents have no business operating on children to have them conform to a religious ideal. Doctors even less. It should be illegal for anyone other than the owner of the penis, or a doctor in an emergency, to permit an operation on it.

As for medical necessity, it is not surprising to me that people with problem foreskins are happier having them removed. If my appendix gave me problems, I would be relieved to be rid of it. But since my appendix is doing just fine….

The bottom line is, most Americans are cut because most American parents are ignorant.

I'm circumcised and it was done because I had phimosis, the procedure was 100% necessary.

No it wasn't. I have phimosis and have kept it.

You had phimosis. Therefore, your reason for getting circumcised is valid and WAS necessary for you. However, getting someone circumcised just because a doctor tells you to is wrong and just shows how little research people actually do on the subject.

The urologist who examined me was completely independent-minded and left the choice to me.

I should also add that an aunt who I confided in due to her decades of work in the health field (including babies and children who sometimes had this condition) told me to ignore it.

I find it so funny, the American hysteria about this. I can well imagine presenting myself with this condition, at say age 18, in the U.S. to medical officials. I imagine American doctors running about screaming 'Medical Emergency!!' 'Imminent Death!!' 'Fatal Risks!!'

Well guess what? I've lived with it for over 15 years and it hasn't caused me one day of trouble. So little trouble, in fact, that I never even realised I had anything unusual until a couple of years ago.

However....

If any JUBbers with medical knowledge SERIOUSLY and TRULY believe I'm taking an awful decision and placing my life in my hands, then please reply to this post or PM me, and I will consider what you say and get a second opinion if necessary.

How is it not mutilation, when you are cutting off someone's skin for all of the wrong reasons? You had phimosis. Therefore, your reason for getting circumcised is valid and WAS necessary for you. However, getting someone circumcised just because a doctor tells you to is wrong and just shows how little research people actually do on the subject.

It certainly can be extremely dangerous. Notice I said only if it's performed by a doctor who doesn't know what he's doing. There in fact is a somewhat high chance of complications when performed on infants. Like I said, it's rare that someone dies from it directly, however, it can cause many health problems that lead to death if not treated properly.

That is a very common misconception shoved down Americans' throats. When you have a circumcised penis, you have so few health benefits that it simply isn't worth it. In fact, circumcision can also be the cause of many health problems. Also, most of the things that circumcision is apparently supposed to stop can easily be prevented on uncircumcised penises by simply washing under the foreskin everyday.

Would you like you take away tens of thousands of nerve endings that give your child increased pleasure during sexual intercourse so that they can gain a few health benefits with the cost of possible health concerns?

Please, explain to me how death might result from a circumcision. The only thing I can think of infection of the wound, perhaps? Which, like I sad earlier, is not an issue in any place where you should be allowing your child to be born. Obviously if you're giving childbirth in a barn somewhere, ALL medical issues including the death of the mother and the baby are significantly increased.

Secondly, the health benefits are, to YOU, not worth it. Again, like I said earlier, it's subjective. I believe it is worth it, partly for health benefits, partly for convenience for my son and I, and partly for social inclusion (although not a large part).

Lastly, the sexual benefits or negatives are highly disputed. The number of nerves you have does not increase the pleasure you get. People with bigger dicks and more nerve cells do not receive more pleasure any more than fat people feel more than skinny people. As for the specific function of the foreskin, it completely depends on the person and the preference: sometimes foreskin increases sensitivity, other times it doesn't. Some people desire sensitivity, while some people desire endurance. You can't ask a baby what his penis feels like and what he'd prefer from his future sexual experiences, so the point is basically moot.

TL;DR
The negatives to a successful circumcision are unproved, and the positives (despite how small they may be) are proven. Therefore, I'm going to go with what evidence tells me.
