oddly enough I prefer to think of another line of reasoning the promotes the idea of homosexuality as been a natural eventuality in a species that operates on sexuality.
Being an organ within finger reach I would think over time as men began to evolve sexually the brain would correlate sexual activity with pleasure. This organ is simply in the way and would, after enough time being stimulated during sexual activity, become tied to sexuality. I prefer to think of the brain homunculus model where its sensations emitted by tactile stimulation grew and grew as sexuality between men was perpetuated more and more. Sex becomes more and more important (we lose our hair - come on, our natural warmth? this is a purely sexual adaptation) and certain bodily sectors become tied to sex, naturally for a man this would evolve to be a pleasure center.
