Why do gays like to rip other gays to shreds?

I've noticed that gays like to rip other gays to shreds.

I remember first coming into physical (face to face) encounters with the gay community when I first went to a gay and center in Los Angeles at age 14.

Back then I thought, that since there was so much external hate (homophobia and discrimination) by the general public........I thought that when gays do congregate together there would be lots of mutual love , understanding and compassion. I found out that alot of times, this is not the case.

Even at age 14, I noticed right away that gays LOVE to rip malicously on other gays. I noticed that gays rip on one another much more than straights (men or women).

It's very very sad when you think about though. Gay suffer so much homophobia , discrimination and rejection from the general public. When they do congregrate it should be a cocoon of love , understanding and tolerance. I noticed that this is rarely the case.

It's so frickin sad that gay congregate to "escape" the outside world.........they get rip to shreds by other gays.

I noticed that it's a HUGE trend in gay forums to rip anybody that doesn't share the opinion of the majority.

Has anyone else notice any of the things I said? Does anyone agree with me?

I forgot to mention that it's extremely sad that so many gays face rejection and discrimination their entire lives (befor they encountered the gay community).......

It's very sad that when these people do encounter the gay community......they get rejection and discrimination of a different kind.

It's sad that you think gay people can't be as vicious as any other subset of human beings, wherein the common thread of most human beings is that they want to be on top.

But you in particular seem to think gays do things moreso than other people. That in itself is sad - but i'm glad it's your life and not mine. So no, I don't agree.

It has been my experience on these forums that the human being posting here is as likely to behave as well as, or as poorly as the next human being.

These forums also perform a very valuable role in helping posters transform their posting habits to better relate to other posters in a more positive fashion.

It could be said that JUB is a valuable teacher for those who need to improve their inter personal relationship skills.

The drama queen syndrome is as likely to be discovered in mainstream society, as it is on these forums. There is an ignore facility to ensure our peace of mind.

Some gay guys have a huge chip on their shoulder. It's probably transferred anger.

It's hard to grow up "normal" when you aren't treated as "normal."

I'm not making excuses, just pointing out the facts.

Groups tend to get into gossip and breathtakingly cliquish behaviors that the individual might not engage in so easily. This is true of all humans, not just gays.

Unfortunately, if we expect to walk among saints we'll probably walk alone.

I haven't met any perfect people, gay or straight. Perhaps they see my flaws and run away. Perhaps they don't exist. Perhaps I'm just a jaded tired old queen. Perhaps.

The bullied growing up to be the bully.

Picked on so much growing up that once they become part of the real world they now have people they can pick on to make themselves feel better and boost their own self esteem... unhealthily.

Part of it is that some homos see all the others as their competition.

Part of it is that some homos have tougher standards for certain things related to personal care and fashion.

Some are just really talented at smart ass cracks about others.

Some smart homos just can't do stupid and have a low tolerance for the lightweight and fluffy.

Unlike straight guys who act out in different ways or just hold their tongues, gay guys know that there is nothing like letting a good bitch fest roll.

Enjoy it for what it is and fight back when you don't like it.

It's weird. I get the sense they think they are too good looking. Not always true, haha. I'm a really nice guy, so I hope I don't look intimidating in that manner. I think I look very approchable.
