  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Why do you (gay guys) prefer to hang out with girls rather than straight guys?

I really don't.

I don't get along with women very well. They (in general, the ones I've met) can't talk about sex with me because they think I'm too crude.

Outside of the sex topic of conversation (and even then, they don't understand why I find certain types of guys hot "eww he's too muscular or hairy" they say), there's not really that much we have in common.

My best friend is a straight guy, and aside from sex, we have everything else in common. We've been friends for 14 years now.

Maybe it's just an online thing, but a few straight guys i've known online have actually talked to me about guys, and sexual experiences i've had. These guys were just really secure with their sexuality, I guess; A couple of them have even sent me drunken cock shots before just to get a gay guy's opinion.

It was all in good fun, and I NEVER brought up anything first or crossed any boundaries unless they did it first. . . Then it was fair game.
Sounds like your motives were entirely pure, but as for theirs... ;)

Hmmmm, this thread has really got me thinking.

Looking back, it seems that while I befriend women very frequently, it's rare that my best friend is a woman. And it's even rare that I hang out with women.

It's more like I have many women acquaintances because of interests and being easy to talk to. So I chatted with them a lot at work or school, but never really went shopping or hung out with them. Other than my stint in grad school, my best friends have always been guys. (And looking back on it, I'd wager almost all of them were closet cases like me.)
