First of all, this backhanded arrogance is transparent as hell. You're just looking to patronize and are fooling no one. That's first.
Second of all, 70% of Blacks did
not vote in favor of Prop 8, you silly instigator, you. That figure has long since been debunked. Blacks only make up 6% of CA's electorate...so even if 100% of Blacks voted in favor of Prop 8, it would not have passed if White (you know the MAJORITY) support wasn't as strong as it was. I know that's gotta irk, huh? Must be why uppity gay (ooops, my badd...I mean
"curious"...

) folks tend to gloss over that inconvenient truth.
Finally, to say that "all" Black folks should support gays, simply because they too face discrimination is patronizing, idealistic and shallow. Black folks are not OBLIGATED to support gays. No one is obligated to support anyone. Wouldn't it be a perfect world if everyone who's ever been shitted on got together sang a chorus of "Hands Across America." Yeah, that's a nice little Hallmark card. Unfortunately it's not reality. People don't relate to each other based on the number of scars they have because not all scars are the same or were inflicted the same way. They do it based on personal interests and goals.
I don't know about anyone else, but condescendingly expecting me to support anything is most likely gonna result in my resistance. It's pretentious and patronizing for someone else to declare or inquire what I
should be doing. No motherfucker, you mind your own business and attend to your own shit. Don't tell me what to do.
