Ben, Abortion is not condemned by the Bible anywhere.
But being rich is condemned everywhere. It's plastered all over the Bible.
Yet Christians vote for the rich man's party. Unfathomable.
In fairness, many of the early church Fathers equated abortion with infanticide -- but there was no agreement on when it counted as abortion, with some holding to conception and some holding to quickening. There's no way in scripture to decide between those two, so the issue (however much Rome likes to pretend they can decide for everyone) has never been settled.
Sensible Christians will take note that God gave us the capacity to study the Creation and reach conclusions -- i.e., to do science -- and will look to such for settling such issues. The only point at which science can argue that abortion is murder is the 'appearance' of complex brain waves, around (IIRC) 100 days.
But it doesn't take science to see the danger in great wealth -- Jesus talked about it frequently. "Woe to you rich" appears more than once, putting a final coda to the virtual symphony of warnings about being rich that came from the Prophets. Embracing the wealthy is, truly, unfathomable.
