Why is it easier to pick up guys than girls?

while woman may sometimes come on to me first, it has always been far easier to pick up males; I think for a number of reasons -- society has done this to us so that women need to keep up a more innocent non-sexual image; sex is much more accepted by men in almost all situations and cultures; and it may be because men are biologically not monogamous but have been forever trying to adapt to such an unnatural state every since the middle ages or before when religion created its tyrannical hold on humanity
