As an atheist, I don't believe there is such a thing as a rapture, however I kinda wish it would happen anyway. Imagine, all the bible thumpers disappearing overnight, leaving the world to the rest of us. Wouldn't that be nice?

As a devout Lutheran, yes I believe that Christ will return to Earth. But it definitely will not be in my lifetime or the next generation's lifetime. Maybe in millions or billions of years.

I find it fascinating how someone can be a physics/engineering/math graduate and also a theist. I will never understand this. How can you reconcile reason and logic with a belief unfounded by any evidence whatsoever, and that defies all logic, reason and common sense?
