Haven't seen/read much about this this year. Have Flu shots fallen out of fashion?

We get ours in mid December to try to make sure that it covers the whole flu season.

Yes. It's very effective. Advice: wash your hands for at least 30 seconds as often as you're able.

Actually, it has been in the news a lot this year, 2 children have already died of the flu in Florida.

My doctor's nurse asked last time I was there so I said yes. I know he recommends it. He also recommended I get two others from the pharmacy, shingles and pneumococcal pneumonia. I haven't yet and may not.

I've been getting annual flu shots for over 30 years.
Twice I got the flu anyway because no vaccine is effective against all the various mutations.
The last time was 3-4 years ago when the vaccine was quite ineffective and, sure as shit, I got it.
I didn't feel l that bad so I was visiting a local business a friend owns where I wound up fainting.
Next thing I knew there were first responders hovering and an ambulance on the way.
Long story short I wound up in a hospital later in the day where I was hydrated.......never saw 2 bags of saline empty so fast and never perked up that fast either.
I was lucky I guess.
I got my flu shot in October.

I already got it. Wish there were a vaccine for strep throat. I get that like once every 2-3 years. Really that's the only thing I feel like I get with any regularity.
