A randy philanderer he may be, but not even Arkansans ever doubted Bill's dedication to Hillary. They are unquestionably soul mates, both political animals to the core.

He, like many a man of power, indulged his sexual appetite and ego, but the nation ultimately accounted it for what it was, a private matter. Impeachment failed and backfired really. People actually like leaders with some human frailty.

He is doing a smack-up job of being her champion now. He is paying back in spades what she has been due. His ability to speak without reading it is really shining tonight.

It is easy to see why he is so hated by the opposition: he's lethal. He still has it.

It is so funny to watch the Obamas and the Clintons throwing bouquets each other's way, as they were bitter rivals when Hillary lost. Yet, it is no surprise to see that things change and politics indeed makes strange bedfellows.

The pundits are assessing it badly. They fault Bill for not being as electrifying as he was four years ago. Well, of course he couldn't be. It is partly his job to not shine too bright with Hillary in the offing. He's personality plus, but she's charisma challenged. He knows that.

The reporters are also faulting him for avoiding the affair. It's idiotic to think he'd go there. It was a service to her to not taint her moment here at the convention with a return to the shame of her public humiliation during his scandal.

He's a sharp cookie. He played it the right way.

I was with Bernie because of his stance on so called free trade and universal health care. I had some skepticisms about free college for all. To let all in in seemed that you would have to lower the bar.
