With Kaine and Pence being polar opposites on most things it should be a good debate.

Will you be watching ?

Still no interest.

Did Magna Carta die in vain

Less than 30 minutes til kick off.

Ugghhh...I hate to say it, Pence is winning so far. Kaine is being rude and interrupting all the time.

[EDIT: He didn't interrupt in the economics/taxation segment. Good. And, his ideas are much better that Pence's.]

[EDIT: so much for that. STOP INTERRUPTING!!!]

Kaine is coming off as an ass. Let Pence speak.

They're both coming off as asses and they're both pissing me off.

It is scaring me. Pence is coming off as very presidential.

Kaine is being too aggressive I think.

Both are being rude and talking over each other and the mod.

It looks like LGBT issues, one of Pence's biggest weaknesses, won't see the light of [night]. (The debate wasn't held in the daytime.)

Nor the Supreme Court, voting rights...SHIT. Useless debate.

Almost finished, I'd give it to Kaine.

I can't give it to either. Kaine interrupted almost like a rabid attack pit bull. Pence did some of that himself. I do like Kaine's ideas FAR better, but I didn't hear any ideas that will sway voters for "either side" - so, if all other things are equal, Pence may be the winner because of behaviour alone.

I think Pence came off looking better, Kaine really messed up by his constant interruptions and pushing to his talking points even when they didn't relate to the topic at the moment.

I watched about 25 minutes of it. Although I liked what Kaine was saying, he kept interrupting Pence and annoyed me so I turned it off. Although I will vote for the Democrats, Kaine was beginning to annoy me.

I have to agree with Frank.

I watched about 10 minutes of it. The constant interruptions were annoying.

Kaine is a neo-liberal, thats pretty clear. Pence is a neo-conservative, thats also pretty clear.

I find it hard to choose between kaine's self-richeousness and Pence's moral dogma.

since they are pretty much even when it comes to credentials in their respective parties, i found kaine to be a better communicator for democrats ideas and more trustworthy than his boss. pence seemed like he was a fish out of water, not sure how to respond to a changing world, an insulated god guns and gays type republican.

im not voting for either of these people, since they both refused to run their own campaigns for president, they dont get a free pass to possibly be president at some point simply because Hillary or Trump picked them to be VP. its a weakness of our democracy that voters will not have much of a say if either one is elected, since people dont 'vote for the VP'.

the problem with the trump/pence thing is that people dont trust business, at least voters have a tiny bit of say in government. i could be wrong, im probably wrong, but that is how voters feel.

these guys have probably never worked a hard day in their life or made a hard decision in their life, neither probably faced any real adversity in their lives or real struggles. for that reason i feel my vote is better spent elsewhere.

Almost finished, I'd give it to Kaine.
Of course Kaine won---god when a democrat is a little aggressive the liberals all faint----Kaine was speaking truth of what trump said and pence ----all he could say was---that's not true. It is fucking true ---to me he looked like he didn't know what to say because there is no defense! Kaine did what he had to do---new Clinton ads will show trump say something and pence say that's not true he never said that----was a good set up. How is winning a debate just saying thats not true----pence was taken a back and didn't know what to do -----he didn't defend trump with anything substantial----trump may get mad at his bitch.*%%*

Kaine's strategy was the ideal....for it was not directed at Democrats...but focused on Republicans familiar with Trump's aggressive rhetoric. Pence was lost for words, with the momentum driven by Kaine. I look forward to HRC, and Kaine continuing with their much more assertive approach, reminding their audiences that Democrats are well able to raise the temperature of a debate, or speech requiring the Republicans to be mindful of their responsibility to do more than offer rambling one liners filled with emptiness.

As far as I can tell, Pence spent most of his time either lying about what Trump had said...or dodging.
