Women Running From Republicans in droves

It is only 'bullshit' to those who actually believe that every woman is a Madonna/whore whose sole purpose is to be a good wife to her husband and good mother to any number of sprog that some guy impregnates them with because he is too much of a man to take the precautions himself.

all he has to do is tell her he really, really loves her.....

Just like the Romney Republican machine is about to do from here on in.

OLD NEWS:
Any of the aforementioned issues have to do with the control of women. By the way, the societies that empower women become more advanced more quickly. :gogirl:

So we need a bill that would hire people to tear down the worst houses... manually. :D

p.s. -- there was a building here with lots of asbestos in it; the guy who tore it down had foam sprayed on everything just ahead of the machines. It was weird watching demolition without dust!
...and maybe weirder watching dump trucks with loads that including suds.

If the asbestos removers die of cancer, they won't need workmen's comp! :=D:

Democrat Representative Emanual Cleaver has apparently had enough of his party's silly antics. Good for him! We've got real issues to deal with.

Then why is it that in many states that Republicians took control in the last election the first thing many of them did was go after gays and lesbians by trying to get amendments and laws banning gay marriage passed? Why are they anxious about what women do with their bodies?
Sorry but the Republicians idea of issues are social ones. I have yet to see them address the economy in any way.

Like the real issues republicans do everything to not address? I guess the economy isn't going the way Republicans want it to be going. And Breitbart lmao... that's quite a source.

quite a source?

it's an INTERVIEW where people are talking and say things

it's not an op-ed

did you watch it?

When I saw the name "Breitbart" I knew it had to be a reliable source!

^ even dead he's making a difference ;)

that's impressive

This morning, a reporter asked Mr. Romney about the Lilly Ledbetter Rule. He was clueless. Even if there isn't a "war on women", Republicons, including the apparent candidate for POTUS, just don't give a shit about anybody but themselves.

The first thing the president he wants to replace signed, and he's clueless?

FAIL.

How dare women have sex without shame or consequences! That's a right reserved for men only! If we let women have control of their bodies, the next thing you know, they'll be expecting us to give them orgasms! Which we all know is a myth, of course.

Speaking of giving orgasms....

I ran into a gal last summer who said she dreamed of having sex with gay guys because she figured they'd never have an orgasm with a chick, but as they kept trying she'd have five or six.....

I think the "war on women" is total bullshit

But as a gay man it doesn't matter what I think

If "women" or enough of them are stupid enough to view this as a real issue, one that creates their decision to re-elect a President who is so over his skiis ......

well they say women are brighter than men

this would not be an example

I have to give the President's posse (oh wait is that racist???) an A+ for creating this issue and benefitting from it

let's see if it's a long lasting benefit

doesnt matter if its a real issue or not, the narrative is toxic for republicans and obama has this wrapped up.

I "misspoke". The person being asked was one of Romney's "surrogates". She was asked about Lilly Ledbetter vis-a-vis Mr. Romney. There was a six-second pause. She knew damned well what Romney's stand is but she didn't want to say. Giving a direct answer would eliminate the possibility of yet another "flip-flop". :##:

Rather than addressing the validity for her claim of gender-based pay inequality, the outcome of the Ledbetter court case focused upon the timing of her complaints. It is my impression that opposition to the Ledbetter law was based largely upon the likelihood that it would generate “frivolous lawsuits” initiated by retiring employees for alleged actions that had occurred during years previous. The “Ledbetter Act” establishes a basis to sue in such cases~ that might otherwise be dismissed as a consequence of the Supreme Court’s 2007 decision in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Inc.

Chris Hayes brought this up on his show this AM. Seems, I think they said, just last January Romney was all for women on welfare to got to work! Now because of Hillary Rosen all women who stay at home are working mothers.
Make up your mind Mitt!

Mitt Romney: Mothers Should Be Required To Work Outside Home Or Lose Benefits

Posted: 04/15/2012 7:04 am Updated: 04/15/2012 10:45 am

WASHINGTON -- Poor women who stay at home to raise their children should be given federal assistance for child care so that they can enter the job market and "have the dignity of work," Mitt Romney said in January, undercutting the sense of extreme umbrage he showed when Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen quipped last week that Ann Romney had not "worked a day in her life."

The remark, made to a Manchester, N.H., audience, was unearthed by MSNBC's "Up w/Chris Hayes," and aired during the 8 a.m. hour of his show Sunday.

Ah.

But that approach is kind of like deciding to avoid getting sand on your shorts when going to the beach by just not wearing shorts -- it's effective, but it leaves other issues hanging out.
