That's a really nice story, too bad it didn't have a "happy ending." Being pretty brazen from time to time, I might have suggested something like watching a video together. If the discusssion had gotten as far as it did with you, then I would have likely asked him, "Hey you want to watch some right now?" He probably would have laughed and said, "Thanks but I have to get back to work." Then I might have said, "Well sometime come over, and bring some from your own collection." Would I really say these things? I'm capable of it, but it would depend on how I felt at the moment, if I felt comfortable and if I decided he would react well to it. After having the pretty explicit conversation that is described above, I would assume that he would react fine to that suggestion, even if the answer was "no thanks" he still would not be offended. There's a saying, "Sex favors the bold." It usually doesn't hurt to just casually make a suggestion. But you have to size up the guy and his attitude first. In the case of the cable guy it seems like he was pretty open-minded.
