Hi there. Been a long time reader but recent member and am super excited to be here. :)

Sometime late last year, I started going to the gym. It has literally SAVED my life and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Prior to joining the gym, well, I'm not even gonna go into that, that's a whole another story.

Anyway, I know genetics play such a huge part in how our bodies are shaped. And I have come to terms that I may never have the 6 pack abs that I would like.
Also, I am aware that most of the abs are made in the kitchen, NOT at the gym. :)

These are new pictures, taken no less than a month ago. I think I do see some definition but I'd like more if possible.
Any tips? Any areas that I should target more? Thanks all!

do you do crunches (which i think are still the best for abs)? if so, try 'em like this -- crunch up, hold for a few seconds, then crunch up even farther and hold for a few more seconds; that'll help you get that defined crown on your abs. by the way, you look GREAT! so don't obsess too much!

You guys rock! Made my night!
Far as ab exercises go, I do a handful of them. I rotate these in throughout the week.

-Side bends with weight.

-Leg Lifts, LOTS of them!

-Bicycle Kicks

-Planks (I believe this exercise right here gave me some definition. Great for the core and easy to do even at home)

-Captains Chair

And maybe a few more. I like variation. However, crunches are definitely not in my normal routine. I will get on that ASAP! Thanks much!
But until I can achieve it, I heard visualization is KEY for success. ;)

You look great, the first pic shows a perfect body

try some inverted sit ups (lay down on a bench with your legs hanging off the edge, hold on to the bench with your hands by your head, lift your legs vertical, then continue to push them to the ceiling until your lower back is off the bench, then lower slowly)

also some ball sit-ups are nice

its good to get a nice stretch in between each movement cause then you get to work the entire muscle longer and harder. (ha longer and harder)

i bet you will get that nice 6-pack, you look like your pretty close to it.

Looking good bud, I do 300 crunches everyday 150 in the AM and 150 in the PM 7 days a week..i do them on a exercise ball

Man you've got impressive abs. How did you attain those?Just by crunching?

I think you are getting close to getting 6 packs. I could see the outline of them. Keep doing. you'll get them soon enough.

Most definitely, I am a lot of things, but quitter, I'm not. I love a challenge. :)
I know they take a lot of work, and I've only recently started focusing on abs/diet
intensely about 2 months ago or so.
Great hearing feedback and hearing what others do for their exercises.
