Would you ever go to a play party?

Well, you guys should just e-mail a group that hosts them, and you'll probably get an invite to the next party, private or not. I've found them to be very generous if you sound serious.

I am not all that sure where to find a non business group for such a thing. Also I don’t know if I would be comfortable going to a private one. I would consider it though. I really want to go to a few. Any idea where to find such groups?

Lube is correct. There are a few types of party hosters.

There are sometimes social groups that are public around the area and
someone who goes to the party or hosts them hosts an after party or hosts parties elsewhere that are revolved around sex. Those are easier to get into since they aren't hard to find.

Now there are others which involve a small circle of people or clique. Those are harder to get into. If you are lucky they might have a website. If you can find that than you can email and ask to join. Some like that might be exclusive and might be invite only.

And there are some hosts who post it all over the internet saying "SEX PARTY CUM AND GIT IT"

It all depends. Sometimes hosts will throw it and not have sex as well. Voyeurs

You already posted a link to the Portland Leather Alliance. E-mail them! Go to their dinners! You don't have to be a member to socialize. If you seem like a decent person at dinner, I'm sure they'd invite you to one or more parties.

It's a very welcoming environment. It may seem scary, but it's not really (at least, I've had no bad experiences in the midwest).

I went to a couple now and I actually find them rather boring. I may try again, but I doubt it. My local munch group leaders are pissed with me so I am sure I wouldn’t be welcome.

My main issue with it though was that they were pansexual play parties and I was the only guy interested in other guys. There were a few bi guys and gay guys there, but they all brought a female to play around with and to talk too. (For some reason many don’t see kink as sex like I do.) Other than that I couldn’t get anyone to talk to me. Everyone had their partner & friends and new people were not readily accepted.

If I ever tried to do another again I would make sure to go to one of the professional ones in Portland. I think I may get different experiences with those.

Watch out because a lot of those sorts of parties are pretty much just a place to trade drugs and unsafe sex practices.
