If I was in a horrific accident where I needed reconstructive surgery, then sure I would have it done.

But otherwise, probably not.

I put maybe and I also would most likely only do it if I was a burn victem or had some kind of accident where it difigured me.

I'm pretty happy with the way I am for the most part.

Yep. I reckon I'll probably have my eyes done at some stage. I'm 20 and my eyes look a bit tired for my age

Would I? Yes.

Will I? No.

Why?

1. Unnecessary risk
2. Unnecessary expense

It has it's merits, and it can do wonders. But I really question the psychology behind it, and the ethics of some of the doctors who practice it...

I had a bilateral otoplasty. When I would sleep, my ears would fold over and rip. I had it done when I was only 14.

I voted no.

But that doesn't mean that if I really thought it was the best option I wouldn't choose it.

But I would try/use everything else first.

Like everything else, it's good in moderation. Have a couple things done, and you look great, have a few more and you're ugly as shit. That's usually how I see it. I've had some, and I'm done with it until maybe when I'm much older and I'm aging. I've never had anyone guess I've had anything done, or at least never said so. All my pics on here are from after. I'm glad I did it, but it didn't change everything in the entire world for me. I still get insecure, and when people don't like me, I still think in the back of my head that I must still be too unattractive. However, it doesn't cripple me like it did before, and I'm not so obsessive about my looks now.

It's important to do a lot research, get second opinions and to have realistic expectations. I've never seen a flat out ugly person become gorgeous with plastic surgery, but I've seen beautiful people become ugly from it. So be careful and conservative about it. It's not for everyone.

No way. Medical procedures terrify me and is my #1 fear.

A couple things, but the expense, inconvenience and risk of complications are a strong deterrent. You have to be willing to travel and spend extra for the best surgeons.

So, it's just a "maybe".

I would, but I probably won't.

#1 on my list would be corrective eye surgery though; not exactly cosmetic, I realise, but I have such poor eyesight and contact lenses and glasses are a bitch that I would jump at the chance. When I last looked into it, as it were, I was unfortunately not a candidate for Lasek surgery because of thin corneas and the ophthalmologist feared my eyeballs would lose shape and make my vision worse than previously. Hopefully they'll make advances and stuff and I can get it done sometime.

I would like to have some work done, but the cost is prohibitive.

Well, I might have it when I get to be middle aged, but I'd be much more likely to spend the money on my teeth.

As males, look up those two men. If that's how you want to look when you're older then go for it, as for me , those are the men I wouldn't look at twice. Give me a man who looks like a man please - not some kind of humanoid object.

I'm not sure if LASIK counts but I do plan to get that, just because I'd like to just be able to see like everyone else. Other than that the only kind of surgery I could see myself getting is reconstructive. That's not to say that I'm opposed to the idea for others, just that I don't think the cost would justify the benefits for me.

Ugh, Mickey Rourke looks like one of those companion robot things from Japan. The creepy ones.
